- Peaceful Missouri country home on the Meramec State Park Boundary
- A 20-minute drive to Meramec Caverns, and about an hour to St Louis
- Campfire ring, large deck and yard; hiking and trout fishing close by
If you’re chasing a cosy Missouri getaway, look no further than Comfy Miramiguoa Home, an aptly named cabin with a large yard, and set in a loop on the Meramec River near the small town of Sullivan.
Inside the cabin, all is neat and cosy, with accommodation comprising a kitchen with everything from a fridge and cooker to pots, pans, glassware and cutlery. Heated by a woodburning stove, the spacious living room has cosy sofa seating, and a TV with streaming (you’ll need your own details to log on) for those days when you don’t feel like doing very much.
Two bedrooms sleep up to six in various configurations of double, queen and bunk beds, and there’s a luxurious bathroom with marble fittings, a bath and a shower.
Outside you are treated to a large deck with a propane grill, table and lawn chairs for alfresco eating, and there’s a campfire ring in the yard – one load of firewood comes as part of the deal per night. Put your feet up on the wooden decking and wait awhile – you might get to see deer flitting about in the neighboring woodland.
Air conditioning keeps everything cool in summer and heating ensures warmth in winter. The house is on well water and has a septic tank.
