  • Swimming pool, bar, restaurant, sports and entertainment on site
Planning a break on the Costa Brava coast, famed for its wild coves, cliffs and clear Mediterranean waters? Enter Camping Santa Elena Ciutat, a green, dog-friendly site 900 metres from the closest beach. This place is in fact 10 minutes’ walk from Playa de Fenals (so close that guests come and go without a thought) and within half an hour’s walk of yet more coves – including one that very much meets Costa Brava’s ‘wild coast’ reputation. Of course, its top location might be its biggest selling point, but with 10 hectares of greenery and plenty of shade from centuries-old trees, there’s a lot more to like about Camping Santa Elena. The site has a bunch of long-standing facilities (old but tenderly cared for and constantly being improved). These include a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool, volleyball and football fields, bar, restaurant, miniature golf and entertainment schedule. It'll take you just 15 minutes to stroll to the centre of Lloret de Mar, where there are all kinds of restaurants, bars and shops, as well as several amusement parks, the Can Garriga maritime museum (half an hour’s walk), shows in the Teatre Municipal de Lloret de Mar (25 minutes) and the Gran Casino Costa Brava (25 minutes’ walk) Some of the wildest local coves are Platja de sa Boadella (15 minutes), a popular snorkelling spot with fabulous shallow water, and the even more remote Cala Banys (25 minutes). As for those who are looking to take a day trip to a big city, Girona (40 minutes’ drive) and Barcelona (an hour) are some splendid and achievable options.

This large, well-located campground boasts spacious sites, cleanliness, and an excellent pool. Friendly staff are frequently mentioned. While new facilities shine, some older ones need updates. Groups can mean noise, but it's good value and a convenient base for exploring.

Powered gravel and sand campsite

Liked Piscina grande, aunque césped bastante mal

Disliked Parcelas de las tiendas super unidas, unos casi encima de otros.

Por la noche fatal gente liándola, chillando y el guardia no vino hasta mucho más tarde. Nada de respeto por el descanso.

Disliked Disappointing Facilities and Lack of Communication:

We stayed here in June and were quite disappointed with the experience. The toilet and washing facilities were not well maintained and below expectations. As we were in a tent, we were placed quite far from these facilities, which made things very inconvenient.

There is a restaurant on site, which was one of the reasons we chose this campsite, but it turned out to only be serving drinks — no food. At check-in, no one informed us that the kitchen was closed, which left us scrambling to find dinner elsewhere. This lack of communication was frustrating.

Overall, the campsite didn’t deliver on some very basic expectations, and we wouldn’t return.

Liked The pitch, proximity to nice small beach. Fennells. Facilities very clean.

Disliked Parties of school kids on residential at the time of our stay had an extremely loud disco until late, but the noise did stop at 12.
Our second night was much more expensive due to bank holiday. Pool closed.

Liked Toilet and wash facilities were of the standard of a very nice hotel.
Lots of space and relaxing areas around the campsite and was not far from the beach or shops. Swimming pool, table tennis, BBQs etc all onsite.
