What a superb Spanish setting this is… Camping Rodero is in San Vicente de la Barquera, right in the Oyambre Nature Park and surrounded by the Picos de Europa mountain range. And it's a short stroll to the sea: beach fans and mountain fans, this is a site for you. The beaches, coastline and small fishing villages of the region are within walking distance, but within 50 kilometres you'll be among mountains, woods, rivers and lakes; the Cabárceno National Park is about an hour away too. Guests have access to toilets, showers with hot water, a washing-up area and token-operated washing machines. For your leisurely options, there's a seasonal outdoor pool for seasonal outdoor dips, a court for tennis and football (do try not to get these mixed up), and a playground to entertain the kids for a spell while you get on with important sunbathing business. If all these leisurely pursuits have worked up an appetite, make your way to the restaurant and bar for eats and drinks, and more leisurely times on the terrace overlooking the beach. The site also has a grocery shop.

Liked Camping tranquilo y estaba todas las zonas limpias, baños limpios

Disliked Los baños son algo antiguos y el bar no me ha gustado, intenté cenar dentro del horario establecido y no les quedaba comida, a la mañana siguiente al desayunar solo tenían tortilla y bollería, la tortilla estaba buena y el personal del bar era muy desagradable

Liked Los servicios los limpian continuamente, da muy buenas sensaciones que le den importancia a la limpieza en esas zonas.
Hay muy buen ambiente, la gente es amable.
La ubicación es fantástica.

Disliked La piscina estaba bastante turbia y en algunas zonas resbaladiza, (tenía pinta de ser algun problema de depuradora) las escaleras alguna estaba suelta, en general la piscina necesita una puesta apunto.
El jaleo de los fines de semana, entiendo que hay mucha gente joven y es lógico que quieran pasarlo bien, y esto realmente no es que sea un problema del camping.

Liked De ligging vlakbij het strand van Oyambre is perfect, slechts 10 minuten lopen. Er is een leuke, ontspannen sfeer, vriendelijk personeel, iedere dag vers brood in het winkeltje en een zwembad om 's avonds lekker af te koelen. Ook voor honden zijn er goede mogelijkheden om lekker te wandelen.

Disliked Minpuntje is dat de plaatsen op de camping erg veel niveauverschil hebben en hoewel er regelmatig wordt schoongemaakt, wordt het sanitair ook door veel jongeren gebruikt die op surfkamp zijn en vanalles achterlaten in de toiletten en douches.

Liked Adequate clean Very easy cycle into Collmossa which was lovely
Beach was a fifteen minute with a path. Beach was a hive of young surfers

Disliked No hot water in wash hand basins but this appears to be normal everywhere.

The general feel was it was a little bit tired

Der Pool war auch prima.

Liked Me encanto la localización de la parcela en una calle familiar, acogedora y cerca de los servicios. La piscina y el restaurante.

Disliked Casi nunca había papel en los servicios de la entrada, estaban bastante sucios. Sin embargo, los servicios de más arriba estaban casi siempre con papel y limpios.

Local attractions

Camping Rodero is in scenic and activity-filled San Vicente de la Barquera, an old fishing area where it's highly likely you'll want to snap shots of the beach and village edged by the snowy mountains of the Picos de Europa range. Have a wander over the Maza bridge and then stop off for some evening Barquera hotpot, the local stew of tuna and potatoes. Also nearby, wander the beaches, cliffs and dunes of the Parque Natural Oyambre/ Oyambre Nature Park to see ancient Cantabrian landscapes, or head down to Cabárceno Natural Park in an old iron mine just outside Santander. Hiking the Picos de Europa mountain range and visiting its caves are other topping options (you'll see plenty of critters around the park too, including brown bears). And if you've a cave connoisseur, the Cave of El Soplao is a bit of a subterranean must, as its 17 miles are considered unique in their world for the number and quality of their speleothems.
