Outdoor accommodation in sesimbra, portugal

Sublime indeed is the location of Sublime Sun and Van, a place that’s got ample space for tourers looking to spend a few days (or more) by the splendid south Portugal coast. Secluded Praia do Meco beach and the Atlantic Ocean are just a kilometre and a half from this coastal site, making it easy to get in plenty of time stretched out on the sand… This laidback site also hires out bikes for those looking to cycle through the local countryside or down along the coast. Both are excellent options: there are plenty of nature spots to explore in the surrounding area, with highlights including the Costa de Caparica nature reserve and the mountains, cliffs and caves of Arrábida natural park. It's also pretty easy to swap rural views for city ones with a day trip to Lisbon, 40 minutes away. The site is on the edge of Alfarim, a small town with several food shops, takeaways and bars to try out, and a couple of kilometres from more foodie options in Aldeia do Meco. There are spacious picnic areas back at base if you end up taking some of that food back or decide to cook for yourself on site. The pitches here are basic but well-maintained, with both water and electricity for those that want them. They’re all flat and level and surrounded by greenery for added privacy, making this simple site a pleasant place to stay. Dogs are welcome to stay here, but please make sure they're on their best behaviour.

Liked: Assolutamente no.
Piazzola per camper, in realtà un parcheggio di una abitazione, buoi e trasandato.
Nessun tipo di servizio, nessun sintomo di sicurezza per trascorrere una notte tranquilla.
Da evitare. Nei pareggi ci sono altri camping molto validi

Disliked: Anche il sito, potrebbe verificare prima di suggerire certe piazzole.

Disliked: The site that was offer did not have any facilities it was someone backyard. I have used Pitchup on my travels around Europe over the last 3 years never had problem until now its was obvious Pitchup had never visited the site. I rang the owner to tell her i could not stay there she did say she would refund me for the whole of the stay

Disliked: Lack of everything except water and electric. We even had to ask for both of those to be electric. It is nothing more than a space behind a house. Photo is totally deceptive. Not even a waste disposal point.

Rural wanders top of your list? Take your boots over to the Costa da Caparica nature reserve (20 minutes’ drive) for trails to sandy beaches and fossil-packed cliffs, or head to Arrábida natural park (20 minutes) for hilly hikes and potential spottings of wild boar and pods of dolphins. Keeping with the outdoor activities, you might also like to try out various watersports at Meira Pro Center (10 minutes) or take history-tinged strolls around Castelo de Sesimbra and the coastal church Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel (both 15 minutes). Wine-themed wanders can also be had if you head over to the vineyards around Vale dos Barris (35 minutes). Bit of town time? Take the 20-minute drive to Sesimbra to see the imposing Fort of Santiago and dine in seafront restaurants, or head to Lisbon in about 40 minutes for a day spent touring the Torre de Belem, the National Azulejo Museum and Jerónimos Monastery, riding the classic trams and working out which bakery does the best pasteis de nata.
