Well, what a spot to rest world-weary heads. When you’re craving an adults-only hideaway in the Veneto Alps, surely Agricampeggio l’Essenza will suit? Set high on a mountainside with spectacular views of Lake Garda, this pristine and peaceful spot really is a rather special sanctuary from modern life. By day life drifts around the outdoor swimming pool and sun deck overlooking the lake. When you’ve had your fill of lazing on a sun bed or swimming leisurely laps, retire to the terrace bar and enjoy a glass of something chilled while you watch the sun set over the lake. If you can summon up enough energy, head down to the lakeside for pasta and seafood feasts in Castelletto (15 minutes’ drive) restaurants, or pick up picnic supplies in the basics store in pretty Brenzone sul Garda (20 minutes). Chances are, however, that you’ll prefer to hang out at your mountain retreat and cuddle the rabbits that run freely about the place. Pick a spot among the tree-shaded terraces on the hillside, all facing the lake and all equipped with electricity and water. Facilities include a modern shower and toilet block, with separate facilities for men and women, a dishwashing area and a USB charging point so you can power up devices and keep in touch with the outside world.

Liked: Geen kinderen.
Proper sanitair.
Prima eten en altijd een koud drankje te koop aan bar. Personeel hele dag beschikbaar aan bar/altijd bereikbaar.

Disliked: Geen koelkast+vriezer (om koelelementen te bevriezen) voor kampeerders.
Douches geen deel om kleding/spullen te leggen. Extra haken om iets aan op te hangen zouden top zijn+ schot dat spullen niet nat worden.
Honden van eigenaar deden ook behoefte op terrein en werd niet altijd opgeruimd.
Duur voor een camping (maar alle verblijven zijn duur in die regio)

Liked: Een mooie terrascamping met een prachtig uitzicht op het Gardameer, waarbij we de avonden dat wij er waren van een mooie zonsondergang konden genieten. Geweldig was ook de rust op de camping en in de omgeving. Toen wij er waren was het heel heet, een verfrissing in het fijne zwembad was dan ook zeer welkom. Bij het vervoer van onze bagage naar de staplaats werden we geholpen door een medewerkster/ familielid met een golfcarretje. Onze auto was nogal volgepakt en had problemen met de helling.
Zeer schoon sanitair.

Liked: De rust, de hygiëne, het zwembad met lekkere ligstoelen en prachtig uitzicht. Als je er voor kiest om niet zelf te koken kan je er heerlijk eten halen voor elk moment van de dag. Wij begonnen de dag standaard met een cappuccino, zoet broodje en ei met spek. Later op de dag een cocktail en alles is heel redelijk geprijsd. Om de camping af te komen en naar het Gardameer te rijden ben je ongeveer 15 minuten onderweg. Maar eigenlijk heb je alles wat je nodig hebt op de camping.

Disliked: Niks, het was perfect. Voor een van ons was het de eerste keer kamperen en dat was door deze camping een onvergetelijke ervaring!
Enige aandachtspunt was dat de wifi verbinding niet altijd even goed was maar dat vonden we niet zo’n punt. Je bent immers op vakantie om andere dingen te doen

Liked: Everything!! This campsite really is fantastic. Spotlessly clean with incredible views over Lake Garda. It has a beautiful little restaurant and cafe area which serves home cooked, delicious food. It’s a beautiful family run campsite with animals roaming around. We had the best time!!

Disliked: Nothing at all!

Liked: Il posto è spettacolare, la vista, la tranquillità, i gestori a dir poco fantastici attenti alle esigenze del campeggiatore, noi una coppia di mezza età che ha voluto riscoprire il campeggio non potevo fare scelta più positiva, sicuramente l'anno prossimo ci torneremo per più tempo.

Disliked: Il luogo è vicino alla montagna e lago ti permette escursioni in bici o camminate...ma se decidi di volere solamente ricaricati é il posto ideale, in compagnia di chi ti accompagna e un buo libro puoi veramente staccare la spina.

Route directions

To reach the site, you must take the main road. From the direction of San Zeno di Montagna, the site is 500 metres after the Fasse restaurant on the right. Don't leave the main road for any of the dirt roads or other turnings.

Local attractions

If you can tear yourself away from those stunning Lake Garda views on site, cyclists and walks can get a different perspective on the lake by following the gentle Malcesine cycle and pedestrian path (25 minutes’ drive) as it meanders along the shoreline. If you’ve got a head for heights, grab a seat in a rotating car on the Malcesine cableway (half an hour) and head up to the summit of Monte Baldo for more far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding peaks. The historic city of Verona (55 minutes) repays a day trip with city vistas from the top of the spindly Torre dei Lamberti, a romantic stop-off at Casa di Giulietta of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ fame and an aperitivo in a lively Piazza Bra café, as well as a summer-long opera festival in the ancient Roman-era Arena. Need break from culture? Bring out your inner child on the rollercoasters and splash rides at Gardaland Resort (40 minutes), check out the movie-themed attractions and shows at Movieland Studios (35 minutes), or venture through the shark tunnel at Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium (40 minutes).

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
There is no reception at this park. Please check-in at the snack bar instead.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
