There's a Little Venice in London, but if you want to see the real (and rather more viewsome) thing, catch a ride to Venezia's Chioggia, the fishing village nicknamed such because of its small alleys, little canals and smashing seafood restaurants. (Big Venice is not far away either.) Three kilometres away from all this water-based goodness is Camping Villaggio Atlanta e Mediterraneo, a modern family-friendly park with stacks to do including more water-based goodness: check out the Olympic swimming pool, paddling pool and big water mushroom for starters… On land, the Villaggio Atlanta entertainment team keeps everyone entertained via a wide range of activities in high season, and there's also a beach playground, beach volleyball and regular ping pong tournaments. A supermarket is on site selling food to sizzle up pitchside and a bar-restaurant/pizzeria should sort out those who feel that cooking's a faff. And if you want to eat out, you might have heard that Chioggia's rather smashing for seafood…

Liked: Opravdu veliký kemp, kde si můžete vybrat místo pro svůj karavan, čisté sociální zařízení

Disliked: Bazén otevřen jen od 10 do 19, komárů tolik, že než jsme vystoupili, tak jich na nás sedělo minimálně 10, moře nebylo moc čisté, večer diskotéka, která sice v 11 večer úplně utichla, ale kemp určitě nedoporučuji pro rodiny s malými dětmi

Liked: Schöner, gepflegter Campingplatz mit eigenem Strand, saubere und ordentliche Sanitäranlagen, viele nette Menschen. Ebene Stellplätze mit Trinkwasserversorgung am Platz.

Disliked: Liegen und Sonnenschirm am Strand müssen die Camper extra bezahlen.

Liked: Pomimo przyjazdu wcześniej niż planowo (po 7 rano) bez problemu udało się zameldować. Na miejscu dostaliśmy wykaz parceli gdzie mogliśmy postawić namiot-sami wybraliśmy sobie miejsce które najbardziej nam odpowiadało. Na miejscu restauracja (pyszna pizza), dobrze zaopatrzony sklep i duża ilość sanitariatów dzięki czemu nigdy nie było kolejek ani do toalet, ani do pryszniców ani do mycia naczyń. Przy parceli miejsce z podłączeniem do prądu (nie mieliśmy przejściówki i bez problemu pożyczyli nam w recepcji) i wody. Bliska odległość od plaży i basenu ze zjeżdżalniami sprawiła że nie chcieliśmy wychodzić poza camping bo wszystko czego potrzebowaliśmy było na wyciągnięcie ręki. Dodatkowo w ciągu dnia i wieczorem były animacje które sprawiły moc radości naszym dzieciom. Gorąco polecamy i pewnie sami tam wrócimy!

Liked: Byli jsme po druhé a moc se nám tu líbí. Restaurace výborná a ceny přijatelné.

Disliked: Letos bylo špinavé moře. Zřejmě z nákladní lodi vypadla štěpka a bylo toho plné moře. Ale to bohužel nikdo nemůže ovlivnit.

Liked: We really liked our stay in Camping Atlanta , all place in clean , showers and toilets very clean, I would recommend to use central block as is much biger and showers are better.
Our pitch was next to swimming pool and 2 min walk from the beach with electric and water hook ups.
Staff is very nice , especially Sara in reception, made us feel welcome and always happy to help, she speaks good English and made our stay there very pleasant.
You can rent bikes for a €5 per day, all Chioggia is bike friendly with plenty bike lanes, and exploring area on a bike is better thane in a car- no parking and you will see more on the bike, Chioggia is a little sister on Venice.
You can take boat to a Venice - once a day €30 one in a morning or bus- €13.80 return, walking distance to bus stop and every 30 min during a week. Takes 1 hours to get there.
Good wi-fi, well stocked shop on site, pizzeria and coffe shop.

Disliked: Entertainment after 9pm in loud and finishing at 23.00 - far to late.
I suggest booking pitch as far of the stage as possible if you kind loud music during the evening.

Local attractions

To Big and Little Venice: Camping Villaggio Atlanta e Mediterraneo has easy access to both. Chioggia's at the southern entrance to the Venetian Lagoon and a few minutes' drive from the site; once appetites for water are whetted here, Venice – with its islands, its Grand Canal and its couple of hundred Palladian villas – is about 16 kilometres from there. If you're around in summer, ask at the site for details of the food festivals in the surrounding areas celebrating the best of Venetian gastronomy: Italian risotto, seafood lasagne and sarde in saor (sweet and sour sardines) are recommended at the very least. Padua and St Anthony's Cathedral, Ravenna and its Byzantine mosaics, and Verona with its Roman area and the balcony where Romeo declared love to Juliet are all within a couple of hours' drive. (Yes, Romeo and Juliet were fictional. It matters not… sniff). For a quieter vibe, take your bike or binoculars to investigate the marshlands and lagoons of the Po delta, one of the biggest wetlands in Europe.
