What customers say

Guests love the grounds, common areas, and bay proximity. The frequent free shuttle is a major plus. Kids' entertainment is good, and there are many activities. Some found the pool small for the park size & had wasp issues at meals. Limited bins/recycling were noted.

Powered earth campsite

Local attractions

Gallipoli (15 minutes’ drive) occupies a spur stretching into the Gulf of Taranto. Walk along shop-lined Corso Roma boulevard, past the Greek Fountain (not from the days of ancient Greece, but dating from the 16th century), to reach the old town, on a small separate island. From June to September, San Lorenzo Astronomical Park (half an hour) runs themed evenings that include guided stargazing sessions with the centre’s powerful telescopes. The Museo del Cosmonauta has displays on space exploration. Lecce (40 minutes) is famed for its Baroque architecture, with highlights including the gorgeously ornate façade of Basilica di Santa Croce and the cathedral, which features a gilded interior. There is also a Roman Amphitheatre dating from the 2nd century, plus tree-lined paths at the Giardini Pubblici Giuseppe Garibaldi gardens.
