Are you after an Apulian beach holiday but also after some peaceful time outside the main tourist resorts? Make your Italian seaside home at Camping Residence Atlantide, a topping option for families with youngsters because of its setting a few minutes' walk from long sandy beaches and clear shallow seas. But it's not all about the beach – Residence Atlantide is well placed to get to the big draws of the region, like the trulli and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Alberobello and the colourful old city of Monopoli, both within a short drive. (For more watery options, Acquapark Egnazia is just four kilometres away.) Two rather splendid additions are to hand on site to assist with a relaxing holiday stay: an ample amphitheatre where the team organises daytime activities and evening shows, and a bar with handsome and spacious poolside terrace for chilling out with a gelato, coffee or cold drink. There's also an outdoor pool, a pétanque court, a TV room, a playground and the means to hire cars, boats or bikes. For the essentials, Atlantide has a spacious toilet and shower block with free hot water, sinks for washing up, disabled facilities and a parent and baby washroom.

Lots is to explore in the area around Camping Residence Atlantide after a day or several at the beach, like the famed trulli of Alberobello within a short drive and the spectacular three-kilometre long and 60-metre deep caves of the Castellana Caves, a karst system filled with stalactites, stalagmites, fossils and canyons: go, they're mighty fab. Several old seaside town sights are around to see too, like the markets, cathedrals and sixteenth century castle of Monopoli, and the white cliffside buildings of Polignano a Mare: do have a dip in its clear blue waters afterwards. More old town centres and seaside views? Try days out and around at Ostuni, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Martina Franca.

Disliked: Camping muy viejo y bastante dejado. Contrate parcela con luz, agua y desagüe, y solo tenía luz. El agua a cubos y sin desagüe en la parcela.
Perros en el área de la piscina ( estando prohibido), y la gente se bañaba sin gorro cuando era obligatorio. El piscinero solo se preocupaba de comer patatas chips y beber spritz. No volveré.

Liked: Schone douche en toilet voorzieningen, heerlijk zwembad, aan de overkant van de straat ligt het ruige rots strand.

Disliked: Stroomvoorziening haperde continue. Ik vond onze plek vrij krap, zeker vergeleken met andere plekken op deze camping.

Liked: pitch was good decent size,pool very nice, facilities were decent if not a bit dated, beach non existent you need to be a mountain climber to get to it,Decent fruit and veg man outside site.

Disliked: Not much, owner a bit scary but generally staff good.
