If you’re hoping to find a place to park your caravan or motorhome near Munich… well, it doesn’t get much closer than this. The pitches at Sonnenhaus München are in a private car park on the edge of the city (in west Munich), giving you easy access to its central attractions through the day and night. Getting into the city centre is a doddle from here – a 15-minute walk takes you to Pasing station, from where it’s a speedy five-minute train ride to the main station. This means it’s splendidly straightforward to get out to the Old Town and the museums, or to head out for an evening at the theatre or one of the city’s many restaurants, bars and beer halls. Closer to home, you’ll be able to walk to the nearby Schlosspark Nymphenburg, one of the city’s top attractions, and find numerous shops and places to eat within a few blocks. Food trucks also often park up in the grounds for tasty and easy meals. The pitches offered here are in a private car park, so they’re very simple and don’t have access to any services or facilities except for water points and electric hook-up points. That means you’ll need to be self-sufficient with things like bathroom facilities and drinking water. A gym is 10 minutes' walk away, where guests can buy daily passes to use the facilities and showers.

Liked: Super netter Besitzer. Sehr hilfsbereit.
Ruhiger und sicherer Stellplatz. Mit dem Fahrrad in ca. 30 Minuten am Marienplatz. Auch öffentliche Verkehr super angebunden.
Das Beste, was wir in München gefunden haben, wenn man nicht auf einer Straße übernachten möchte, die Versorgung/Entsorgung braucht und nicht übermäßig teuer bezahlen möchte.

Disliked: Versorgung/Entsorgung eher provisorisch, funktioniert aber gut dank Bemühungen der Besitzer.

Liked: Ich hab eine Nacht am Sonnenhaus verbracht. Die Lage war super, da der Bus direkt nebenan befuhr und man so mit Bus und Bahn gut ins Zentrum kam. Oder man läuft ca. 15 min direkt zum Bahnhof Pasing.
Hab mich sicher gefühlt und das Tor war offen, so dass man kommen und gehen wollte wie es passte.

Disliked: Nachts war doch einiges los um den Platz, aber so ist das einfach in Städten.

Liked: Idealer Platz um München anzuschauen. Der Platz ist vor allem Nachts sehr ruhig, S Bahn in ca 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein großes Dankeschön dass er diesen Platz zur Verfügung stellt

Local attractions

How you spend your time in Munich is up to you, but you’ll have plenty of options to choose from – perhaps touring the museums of the Kunstareal area, exploring the Old Town or taking a stroll through the huge Englischer Garten? You could also climb the tower at St Peter’s Church for its excellent viewing platform, and then use that effort as an excuse for a good meal and drink at one of the city’s beer halls or beer gardens. While Munich is likely to be the main attraction for your stay here, there’s plenty more to do in the surrounding area. A few top picks are a sobering trip to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site (25 minutes’ drive), seeing wild animals at Wildpark Poing (50 minutes) or gazing at the fairytale-like Neuschwanstein Castle (an hour and a half). For a different urban view, try an outing to Augsburg (40 minutes), one of Germany’s oldest cities. If it’s rural scenery you’re after, make your way to the Ammersee (35 minutes) for lakeside walks and boat trips.
