With an enviable location a 400-metre canoe ride from the famed Pont d’Arc stone arch, Camping La Rouvière is a pretty sweet place from where to explore the Ardèche and its spectacular landscape. Oh, and that canoe? You can rent it on site, along with kayaks, so you don’t have to worry about lugging it all the way from home. The site has direct access to a private beach on the Ardèche river; simply unfurl your towel and soak up the view of imposing rocky cliffs just across the water. For active types, there’s much more to do besides canoeing, with several outfits in nearby Vallon-Pont-d’Arc (10 minutes’ drive) arranging climbing and canyoning expeditions, plus mountain-biking and hiking trails through the Réserve Naturelle Nationale des Gorges de l'Ardèche (10 minutes). The site itself is no slouch when it comes to activities, with pétanque and volleyball courts, ping-pong tables, a play area, and kids’ and teens’ clubs. It’s also easy to make new friends here, with evening entertainment ranging from communal dining to weekly dancing soirées. The on-site bakery is the place to find flaky pastries and crispy baguettes for your breakfast, while a grocery store sells local produce, which you can store in a communal freezer. The restaurant serves a range of simple meals. In addition to a well-maintained toilet block with facilities for disabled guests, there are showers, a washing-up area and a launderette, plus charging points for electric cars. And if you arrive by public transport, the owners will be happy to come and pick you up at the bus station.

Liked: Nothing. Not even worth a 1 star but unable to give any less

Disliked: Despite booking unable to check in. Reception and bar were closed. In fact everything was closed. Telephone numbers unanswered. Eventually received email telling us to pick a pitch and they would see us tomorrow (their T&C say you must not do this). Found somewhere else to say and refused to give us a refund

Comment pouvez vous émettre un avis sur 8 prestations alors que vous n'avez même pas séjourné sur notre camping?

Caraïbe 2 bedroom safari tent (four person)

Liked: Wonderful campsite with access to the river. Great facilities, with bar and shop, and occasional pizza van on site. Very close to Pont d'Arc and also within walkin distance of good restaurants. Found the staff very helpful and fresh bread in shop all day. Also you can book canoe trips on site so you finish uo back at the campsite!

Disliked: Really cannot find anything to put here. Very good value for money and will definitely be having a stopoff there again when passing through the ardeche.

Liked: Location for swimming in the river. Hot water in showers.

Disliked: Facilities unclean. No lights in toilet block. Snack bar and shop not open. Only two customers.
The site didn’t look like it was ready to be open for the season.

I just wanted to answer you.
We've had a lot of rain the last few weeks.
the roof was damaged during these very heavy rains.
So we had to wait until the bad weather was over for the repairs!
The images sent are the sanitary facilities not available to customers at this time, especially when there are only 2 people on the site! (that means you!!!!)
So you think that I can only open the bar and the snack bar and the grocery store for 2 people!!!!
We are 3 stars and there is no obligation to open everything at the start of the season, that's why the prices are low
So for anyone who pays attention to this type of comment, rest assured we are doing our best to be pleasant to you during your stay.
in rainy weather the ground cannot be nickel-plated from the outside

nous avons eu beaucoup de pluie ces derniéres semaines .
le toit a été abimé lors de ces très fortes pluies .
il fallait donc attente la fin du mauvais temps pour les réparations!
Les images envoyées sont les sanitaires non mis à dispositions aux clients en ce moment , surtout quand il n'y a que 2 personnes sur le site ! (c'est à dire vous!!!!)
Vous pensez donc bien que je ne peux pas ouvrir le bar et le snack et l’épicerie que pour 2 personnes!!!!
Nous sommes 3 étoiles est aucunes obligations de tout ouvrir en début de saison ,voilà pourquoi les tarifs sont bas
Donc pour toutes personnes qui prêtes attention à ce genre de commentaire,rassurez vous nous faisons notre possible pour vous être agréable pendant votre séjour .
en temps de pluie le sol ne peut pas être nickel au niveau de l’extérieur

Local attractions

Grotte Chauvet 2 – Ardèche (15 minutes’ drive) is a state-of-the-art, fully immersive replica of a Palaeolithic cave that’s been closed to the public since its 1994 discovery. Weaving past rock formations, the visitors’ route also takes in dozens of primitive cave paintings of animals, from horses to bears, plus mammoths. Residents at the Parc Animalier des Gorges de l’Ardèche (20 minutes) include wallabies, peacocks and alpacas, plus a number of pettable farmyard animals. Kids can also go on pony rides, stroll among the water sprays in the aquatic park or pan for gold nuggets in the river. On the outskirts of Pierrelatte (40 minutes) is the Lac Pignedoré reservoir, with supervised swimming, a bike trail and a skate park. The vast tropical greenhouse at the nearby Crocodile Farm is home to turtles, lizards and anacondas as well as fearsome crocs.

Admission

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

If the reception is closed on arrival, please check in at the bar.
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
