What customers say
Great lakefront spot with natural beauty & local amenities. Pitches are good-sized & shaded. Families love kid-friendly fun & nearby beach. Staff are friendly, though some note cleanliness/maintenance issues in facilities and occasional noise.

Liked Location next to lake. Ability to choose own pitch.
Disliked Filthy and poorly maintained toilets and showers. Blocked toilets and shower drains. Site appeared tired and unloved. Abandoned (??) damaged car on pitch one side of us and old chairs scattered on pitch the other. Hedges overgrown. Bar closed.

Don't visit on a Sunday
Powered grass campsite (comfort)
Liked Good location by lake
Disliked Nobody at reception, to explain the site and show us to our pitch. Poor facilities for campervans/motorhomes and lack of staff - unable to empty toilet cassette, and no staff to resolve the issue. Toilets and showers needed a clean, and there was no toilet paper or hand soap.

A good experience that could have been frustrating.
Powered grass campsite (comfort)
Liked Facilities were good as were the pitches.
Disliked The site was unmanned on our arrival and calls to the number posted number were unanswered. Fortunately a site resident took sympathy and gave us access to the site where we were able to enjoy hook up, shower and toilet facilities.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Flexibility to do late check-in.
Disliked We arrived within normal check-in hours and there was no staff at the site.
Showers had automatic lights and timing was not changed since summer -> we showered at 20h in the dark. Lights went in an hour later.
Bathroom facilities were dirty even though the campsite was pretty much empty, so were not being cleaned daily.

Liked The location of the site. Adjacent to a lovely lake.
Manager friendly and helpful.
Disliked Pitch not great. Nice quiet location but a bit uneven and lots of cigarette ends. Chemical toilet waste facilities locked, therefore had to travel back to UK ‘full’.
Shower facilities ok. Toilets and washing up areas needed cleaning.
