Wow – what a stunning setting. The pitches at Tiny SeaSide - Kegnæs are in a gorgeous location on the island of Kegnæs, surrounded by natural landscapes of forest, meadow and sand dunes – and as if that wasn’t enough, they’re right by the sea too. That means that when you stay here you can wake up to the sound of the waves, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters whenever you fancy it, and spend evenings tending the flames of the firepit on the beach while the sun sets into the sea. Now, doesn’t that just sound like an excellent way to destress during your holiday? This is the kind of setting where you may find yourself simply sitting on the beach and staring out to sea for quite some time – but there’s more to do if you fancy a bit more activity. There are bikes and paddleboards to rent on site, and there are various activities on offer throughout the year. Kayak and mountain bike outings along the coast are good ways to fill your days, and there’s also a playground on site if all you need is something to keep the kids busy while you relax (perhaps with a gym workout or sauna session?). All efforts have been made to provide an authentic experience for guests here – and that includes the cold meats, breads and drinks on offer at the café as well as the game meat and other bits in the small shop. Facilities at this site are as good as the view – guests have access to toilets, showers, a launderette and wifi as well as a sauna and gym.

Liked: This site is ideal! Right on the water/ beach. A great surprise was the onsite gym with a fabulous view of the water. The team at reception were very friendly and accommodating and the island is lovely. Really recommend this to anyone. A dip in the water in the morning is a must!

Liked: Vriendelijke personeel, ruime camperplaats, mooie ligging direct aan zee.
Sanitair is goed. En het douchen was goed geregeld.

Disliked: Geen warm water bij de afwas, moest met een waterkoker.

Liked: Cudowne miejsce. Prawdziwy reset, spokój i cisza. Przemiła obsługa, szczególnie Mimi :-) Niesamowicie czysto ! Do dyspozycji kuchnia z czajnikiem, piekarnikiem i płytą indukcyjną.

Disliked: Szkoda, że toalety nie są osobno dla mężczyzn i osobno dla kobiet. Brak pralki i suszarki do prania, które były zaznaczone na stronie pitchup jako dostępne.

Liked: Arrived without the right connector, for the electric hook up.(Although this was the only site that we had an issue with) However, we were given access to an empty holiday let and were able to refrigerate our food use the shower, washing up facilities and boil the kettle. All above and beyond I feel.
The beach was fairly empty and we were able to kayak in calm waters.Pea

Local attractions

A gentle explore of Kegnæs might take in things like its church and lighthouse, and a little tour of the Musses Landbrugsmuseum. There are bikes to hire on the island (perhaps for cycling through the vineyards?) and places for fishing and launching kayaks too. A little further afield, a trip back across the island’s bridge might take you to the pretty estate of Augustenborg Slot or into Sønderborg (both 25 minutes’ drive) to visit its castle, Augustiana art museum and Dybboel Moelle windmill. The classic white walls and red tiles of Nordborg Slot (40 minutes) are worth a visit too – you can only see the castle from the outside these days but the grounds are lovely to wander around. If you’ve brought the kids on holiday, you’ll need to plan a trip to Universe (35 minutes) – this science-themed activity park is packed with fun things to do, including VR bumper cars, a sky trail and a Segway track as well as all sorts of interactive exhibits like the bubble lab and fire zone.
