Have a seaside stay in Croatia at Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar, a modern and friendly site on the Dalmatian coast only five minutes’ drive from the country’s oldest city, Zadar. From here, it’s only a minute’s stroll via a pinewood path to reach the beach, a kilometre-long stretch where watersporters can set off sailing, surfing or diving, and beach bars and hotel restaurants are dotted all along the coast. Further Dalmatian adventures are easily sorted via a ferry ride to the islands of Pašman and Ugljan about an hour and 10 minutes from the site, or further afield to the spectacular little island of Iž, an hour and 50 minutes from the site. Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar is a swish and well-maintained park with excellent facilities (see pics) all free for guests: there are adults’ and kids’ pools, two waterslides, saunas and a Jacuzzi if you seek more submerging times; a summer activity programme with beach volleyball, badminton, aerobics, football, tournaments and a kids’ club for ages three to 12, and high season entertainment including themed evenings, barbecue nights, karaoke, live music and sports for all ages. All tastes are catered for too at the Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar seaview restaurant, which serves local and internationally themed dishes from breakfast to evening – dinners usually accompanied by a rich sunset over the sea. A lounge bar serves snacks to have there or to take away. The resort also has free wifi, 24-hour security and clean modern amenities. A charging station is available for hybrid vehicles.

Liked Schöner und ruhiger Platz mit direktem Zugang zum Meer. Saubere Sanitäranlagen mit Musik auf WC und Dusche. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Supermarkt mit klasse Öffnungszeiten und nicht allzu sehr überteuerten Preisen.

Disliked Gute Radwege in das Stadtzentrum und um die Umgebung erkunden zu können sind leider wenig vorhanden.

Liked Tomu místu jsme zcela propadli.Jezdime několikrát ročně a vždy velká spokojenost.Recenze je ode mne poprvé, za naší rodinu je pise manželka. Teď jsem už musel pochválit i já. Čistota, restaurace ok, všechno za plný počet hvězdiček. Děkujeme a už teď se těšíme na léto.

Liked Vi tyckte om platsen som hade skugga, den hade utrymme och alla plaster hade en häck omkring sig.

Dusch, toa var alltid rena och fräscha, stort + för alla olika bås som man kunde göra sig i ordning privat

Många utrymmen man kunde sola eller sitta i skuggan på

Bra mat i restaurangen och bra utbud i äffären.

Dröm ställe för er som har barn, då det mesta fanns ex spelhall, pool, tivoli, barnkläder med aktiviteter

Disliked Det enda var myrorna vid plasterna.

Local attractions

Beaches and Zadar should occupy most of your time around here... alternate days at each is recommended, before sorting out some diving and island hopping trips around the Dalmatian coast... Even if it wasn’t only five minutes’ drive away, the city of Zadar is a must-see: the oldest continuously inhabited city in Croatia, it’s stuffed with history from Stone Age times onwards and has been hailed as the best tourist destination in all of Europe. You’ll need at least a few days, but absolute musts include the Roman forum (the biggest on the eastern side of the Adriatic), the Museum of Illusions and the Museum of Ancient Glass, 12th-century St. Anastasia’s Cathedral and the Roman and Venetian ruins around the peninsula of the Old Town… then the spectacular sounds of the Sea Organ made by tubes and sea waves. From Zadar, take a boat out to the islands of the Kornati National Park; if that whets your appetite for Croatian national parks (as it surely should…), arrange day trips to Krka National Park and the Plitvice Lakes National Park, an hour and an hour and 30 minutes away respectively.
