Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked We really enjoyed our stay at the campsite. Despite it being a sunny Bank Holiday, there was room on the site and the facilities were spotless and really well maintained. The location is stunning - close to the coastal path, peaceful and with incredible starry skies. We were later arriving than expected, but the guy on the phone was super helpful. We will definitely visit again.

Disliked Nothing - the facilities are simple but really clean. We loved it!

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Lovely little campsite with a friendly owner. Well maintained. Good shower, unisex toilet clean and well serviced.
Very close to bubbleton farmshop and a short drive to everything.
Great price

Disliked The lock on the existing toilet sticks a litte. A second toilet would be great and a lock that shows if it's occupied. Otherwise great little campsite.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Good amount of space for each pitch. Easy to find just past the farm shop, off the main road from Tenby to Pembroke.
Tenby is really close by and so is Manorbier and St Govens.
If you are coming to Tenby via train, the station isn't far from the campsite which is handy.
Even though the field is by the road, you don't get disturbed by load traffic.
Staff are friendly. The toilet and shower room was kept clean and tidy.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked A quaint small site roughly 20 pitches. I could pick my own pitch and park next to it.1 toilet and shower which were cleaned regularly. Bins fir recycling and general rubbish. A sink for washing up and running water too.2 mins walk to the coastal path and a farm shop, although I didn't visit so I can't comment on that but it looked very popular. I stayed for 4 nights and the site more than served my purpose. The owner was very friendly and informative. It's just by the main road which takes you to Tenby, with a bus route if you want to leave the car at camp.

Disliked Nothing really.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked small and cosy camping until we realised we set up next to a group of 5 lads. As they came out from town they continued the party until 5am.
We understand is not owner's fault but they should put a sign to not make noise from 11pm or something

Disliked noise and what we said above

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi, so sorry to hear this, it is stated clearly to keep the noise down after 11pm, Andrew did speak to them when they arrived. We will pass it on to Pitch Up, I can only apologise for their behaviour, sorry you experienced this. Thank you for staying 🙂

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Great location, very close to Tenby and surrounding beaches.
Quiet, peaceful location.
Good facilities - clean toilet (always with loo roll!), sink and bins.

Disliked Some noisy guests playing music at 3am woke my partner up a few times.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Cleanest toilet I've used at a campsite! Both toilet and shower checked regularly. Outdoor sink with drinking water and sink below. Basic setup but all that is needed for a camping trip. Great views of the headland nearby and the coastal path is 2 minutes away, which will take you along the headland with incredible views of the sea. Walk a bit further and you get to Lydstep Beach, or Tenby town in the other direction. Nice little farm shop and cafe 2 minutes walk away with local produce, firewood, coal.

Disliked When it got busy, tents pitched quite close to each other but scenery and location make up for it. Overall a great camping spot.

Local attractions

Several beaches are within walking distance of the campsite, including the dune-backed, crescent-shaped Penally beach (40 minutes’ walk or a five-minute drive), or you can turn west along the Wales Coast Path (five minutes' walk) to the sand-and-shingle cove at Lydstep Haven (15 minutes). From there, just carry on walking; after 40 minutes, Skrinkle Haven beach, encircled by steep cliffs, will hove into view. Turn east for views over to the Cistercian monastery on Caldey Island as you stroll, and you can be in the historic walled town of Tenby in about an hour. There are three sandy beaches on which to plonk yourselves down, as well as a fishing harbour and medieval castle to nose around, and colourful waterfront cottages to admire. If the kids are demanding a treat, you may like to let them be animal keepers for the day at Manor Wildlife Park (five minutes' drive). Younger offspring can run amok on the dinosaur trail at Dinosaur Park (10 minutes) or whizz around the go-kart track and wear themselves out zorbing on the pool. There’s more family fun to be had on the fairground rides at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (15 minutes), where there are also big cats in spacious enclosures, penguins frolicking in their pool and cuddly ponies at the petting farm.
