  • Small family-friendly site 20 minutes' drive from Pembroke
  • Sandy beaches around 20 minutes away in Tenby and Saundersfoot
  • Designated dog exercise area on site
This countryside site is an excellent spot for anyone looking to unwind surrounded by Pembrokeshire greenery: Oaklea Camping and Glamping Park is in a central spot surrounded by the Pembrokeshire countryside, and its coast and towns. The Daugleddau estuary is also close by, with yet more great places for walkers to explore. Oklea Camping and Glamping Park is a small site with spacious pitches. Dogs are welcome, as long as they're kept on a lead (and booked for the dog-friendly pitch types only - they're not permitted in the shepherd's huts). Handily, the site has a designated dog exercise area where they can run free under the supervision of their owner. When you're ready to get out and explore, this is an excellent spot to reach the walks, beaches and castles that Pembrokeshire’s famed for. Get as sandy and muddy as you like, safe in the knowledge that back on site is a toasty heated bathroom with hot showers.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Gorgeous campsite picked due to the 9.9/10 reviews and certainly lived up to them. We had a hardstanding pitch which was huge, clean and with the water right next to it. Peaceful, well kept and excellent toilet, shower and kitchen facilities. Very good location for travelling to Tenby, Saundersfoot, Barafundle bay, Bosherston ponds, Pembroke, Lawrenny quays and Narberth. All seemingly between 15 and 30 mins drive from the site. Fab dog field for throwing the ball for our spaniel which was well kept and not muddy at all. Will be back here definitely. Friendly staff/owners too.

Liked: Really lovely campsite with excellent facilities. The toilets/showers were very clean and of a high standard. Pitches were of a good size and spaced out well. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The added bonus of this campsite was it has a secure dog field which our dog loved having some time off the lead. Would definitely visit again.

Liked: A beautiful site with well maintained pitches and facilities.
The toilets and showers were immaculate.
When we arrived our electric hook up cable was too short as was our hose for the service pitch. The owner provided a cable & hose without charge.
The owners are lovely hard working people. We could not have asked for more.

Disliked: Everything was as it should be.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Everything. Pitch sizes were amazing, big and private toilets and showers were the cleanest I have ever found on a site, heated too, what a bonus. Loved that there was a mop I'm there so we could have a dry floor. Games rooms awesome with pool and table tennis table and a great space if the best of the British weather drives us indoors. Loved this place and the amazing owners who have done an amazing job in a short time. Will be back as soon as we can.

Disliked: Nothing, absolutely nothing

Shepherd's hut

Liked: This is a truly brilliant campsite with excellent facilities. We stayed in one of the shepherds' huts which was very well equipped and comfortable, and another of our party brought a camper van. The barbecue area was very useful as it is covered and can be used in all weather conditions. We also loved the games room and the conservatory next to it, which has a lovely view.

The toilets and showers were sparkling clean throughout our stay. The owners were also very friendly and helpful. Clearly a lot of hard work goes into making this site as good as it is, and that was much appreciated. The location is also great - a short drive to several incredible beaches, and a coastal woodland walk only 10 mins away at Lawrenny which blew us away!

Local attractions

You’ve got to catch a castle or few if you come to these parts – Pembrokeshire’s dotted with fine examples. With a drive of 20 minutes or so you can take in the ruins of Carew Castle (often handsomely reflected in the neighbouring mill pond), stroll around seaside Manorbier Castle or head to Pembroke to see the fortress where Henry VII was born. And you’ve got to take in a beach or few too. There are the traditional resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot (20 minutes’ drive), many surfers' favourite spot Freshwater West (half an hour) and the utterly gorgeous Barafundle Bay, often tipped as one of the world’s best (half an hour). Birdwatching boat trips to Skomer from Dale and dolphin-spotting safaris from St Davids are both about 45 minutes away. For family-friendly attractions, see Manor Wildlife Park (15 minutes), the Heatherton World of Activities (15 minutes), Wild Lakes Wales (five minutes) and Oakwood Theme Park (10 minutes).
