What customers say
This campsite offers a quiet, remote, back-to-basics experience in a superb riverside setting. Guests loved the tranquility, space, and kayaking access. While facilities are basic, showers were praised as hot and powerful, and toilets spotless. Some found it hard to find or deserted, with tide access issues. Prompt host action resolved initial trash concerns.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Amazing location, practically silent apart from a loud group and very late arrivals on the Friday night.
We’ve had a brilliant few days here and will definitely be back, its really special.
Disliked I feel like this site would have a much higher rating if the description was a bit clearer, and the toilets were cleaned. Because its amazing if you’re prepared for cold showers and long drop loos; and bring your own loo roll and soap.
A sign on the field gate would be helpful, and better directions than google co ordinates because it was convinved that we could drive along a footpath!

Great for the views, especially if you have on-board facilities.
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Beautiful views, blissfully quiet. Easy access direct onto the Cleddau for canoeing, sailing etc. Dark skies mean amazing stars.
Disliked Compost toilets are poorly maintained (full!) and the access gates way is steep and bumpy. No chemical toilet emptying point, so you'll need to take your porta potty home to empty.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked This was great! Exactly as described, it is a field with basic toilets and a tap. The location is beaut, right by the bend of a river. Perfect for canoeing and walks, as well as relaxing. Was super quiet, only 2-3 other camping families in the whole field. Very dog friendly.
Disliked No complaints - was exactly as described.

Never again.
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked The quiet.
Disliked Nearly everything.
The entire site was very poorly maintained. It wasn't a lawn but rather a stubble field with leftover hay. The shower was a wooden shack with only cold water and lots of cobwebs. There were no hooks and no light. There was also no sink and no way to wash dishes. The toilet was not an eco-toilet but a simple pit latrine, which also hadn't been cleaned. Neither of the two phone numbers was valid, so there was no way to reach anyone. We left early the next morning, even though we had paid for two days. Even £20 per day is too much for this!

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked We loved this site because of its remoteness and off grid feel. If you want high end luxury this is not the site for you, if you want basic facilities in a superb setting then you can't get better that this.
Disliked The site wasn't easy to find. The night we stayed there was high tide which prevented us leaving in the morning until the tide dropped.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked What a hidden gem !! If your looking for a quiet, relaxed and back to basic site. This is the place for you.
Loved the tranquility and laid back feel.
There's no rush to leave in the morning which is an added bonus and enticed us to stay another night.
Didn't meet owners but spoke with them and felt very welcomed and liked the fact they were only a phone call away if needed.
Compost toilets spotless and well stocked
Will definitely recommend and be returning

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Waterside spot. Access for launching kayaks. Lots of walks with well signposted routes. Amazing delicious food in local pub. Friendly locals with interesting stories to tell. Basic facilities but showers super hot and powerful. Easy to contact hosts.
Disliked Rubbish over field when we arrived but contacted host and they came and cleared everything. Very apologetic.

The beautiful views of the river.…
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked The beautiful views of the river.
Disliked Booked 1 night in school holidays, but nobody else was staying on the site. We saw no one and even wondered if we were at the right place. Leaving the site the drop through the gateway is steep and the central grass area high, watch your vehicle doesn’t ground. Composting loos and rustic showers, great idea but looking shabby. We left before dark, which was 100% our choice
