What customers say
This campsite gets rave reviews for its scenic setting, up-to-date amenities, and super-friendly staff. Families love the on-site fun like bike trails and playgrounds. While mostly peaceful, some note noise and strict quiet hours. A few downsides: the shop has limited items, and pitches can get muddy.

Liked Fantastic holiday, campsite was clean, with all necessary facilities within easy reach. The staff were polite, always available and extremely helpful.
My daughter enjoyed cycling on the cycle track and around the lake with the various cycle paths. We enjoyed a trip in a canoe on the lake and several hours in the park.
The shop was well stocked with essential items and lovely gifts. The cafe was a big hit from breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and cake.

Probably the nicest sites we've stayed on and we've travelled Europe
Powered cement/asphalt campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked The friendliness of the staff is the stand out feature of this campsite. From the reception staff, warden, cafe staff and most notably the activity centre staff. Everyone is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
The reservoir is beautiful and there is such an array of activities to enjoy for all ages. We hired the recreational boat which was so much fun and very relaxing on one of the hottest days of the year.
Pitches are moderately sized so we were unable to fit our outdoor shelter as well as our VW van and awning but luckily we didn't need it as the weather was perfect.
The views are awesome especially at sunset.
We saw peregrine falcons, herons, bats, buzzards, water vowels (on our pitch, they were so cute) geese, swallows and much more.
It's a very calm, relaxing site which suits those who enjoy outdoor pursuits including mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, walking etc.
Disliked None! There was limited to no WiFi which for us was great as it helped reconnect as a family and just enjoy the location and occasion.

Liked Great pitches. Lovely clean site. Showers were great. We were staying with two kids under 5 so appreciated the strict quiet times. Playground is excellent for the kids. Bike park also very good with different routes for different abilities.
Disliked Not being able to have the car at the pitch. Only a slight inconvenience - won’t stop us from coming back!
Breakfast at the cafe wasn’t great.

Liked It was exactly what we wanted peaceful walks, quiet countryside and water where the dog had a dip. The site was clean and tidy with all the facilities you needed. Just the place for a relaxing wind down from the Hussle and bustle of everyday life.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (disabled friendly)
Liked The views, the disabled shower and toilet facilities. Cleanliness of the whole area, cafe, helpful staff who smiled all the time and we liked that it was quiet at night.
Disliked Unfortunately the other able campers constantly used the disabled toilets allowing their children to do so whichmade the floor very muddy and not so pleasant to use.
