What customers say

Highly recommended peaceful, friendly, well-equipped campsite. Praised for spacious, well-kept pitches (many w/ private composting toilets). Great communal showers/dishwashing. On-site extras like breakfast, local cider/beer, and firewood via honesty fridge are fantastic additions. Ideal location for exploring. Warm welcome & helpful hosts reported.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Everything was above and beyond what I had expected. From the warm greeting to what was available on site. I was slightly off season but was still offered breakfast, wood (with a free bag of marshmallows), beer and more from a small kiosk. Free solar Charing for phones in keyed lockers. There was not just information on walks but laminated A4 maps you could borrow. In with the green site credentials the site plots where divided my some wildlife friendly vegetation. At night there was no traffic noise but plenty of owls, donkey, cows and the odd flying goose singing in the distance. The pitches were very generous in size and each has it own compost loo. The loos were were clean and even came with a complementary loo roll, yes that is what I forgot so thank goodness for that foresight!
There was some many little small things that added up to a site that really took away a lot of stress any from camping. Can't wait to book again.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Clean shower and toilet block for communal use along with personal toilet on the pitch.

WiFi and phone charging facilities were a great touch. Onsite dinks and firewood shop was handy

Peaceful with large pitches felt as though everyone using the site in the week we camped here respected others and the site and understood camping etiquette.

Local attractions

Pembrokeshire’s famed for its beaches – and rightly so, for they are many and varied. Stride forth on foot from Ffynnonddewi and you’ll get to the nearest little beach in about half an hour; for something somewhat more massive, it’s a 10-minute drive to the two miles of splendid sands at Newgale, or 20 minutes to Whitesands. Both are popular surf hangouts too, with kit hire and guidance to be had. In between the beaches, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs along all 186 miles of the county’s coastline and makes for some cracking days of sea-view strolling. Should you be hankering after something more energetic, activity centres 15 minutes away in St Davids can hook you up with days of kayaking, paddleboarding, coasteering and climbing. It’s worth sticking around in St Davids for a while too, to take a wander around the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, and grab a bite in one of its independent restaurants or pubs. It’s also the place to sign up for boat trips to Ramsey Island, home to Wales’s most sizeable grey seal colony.
