  • Peaceful dog-friendly site with views of Eryri (Snowdonia)
  • On the banks of the river Gwyrfai; a 10 minute-drive from Caernarfon
  • Walking routes directly from the site; playground and games room
Adventurous types, unite, and make your way to Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping Park. This is the type of place where holidaymakers can hike all day long, and it's peaceful too, on the banks of the river Gwyrfai with views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains and the north Wales countryside. There are walking routes directly from the site – good news for those with dogs or a lust for adventure. One of the UK’s longest heritage railways, the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, passes through the site on its 25-mile journey past the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). You might want to board it yourself Caernarfon (10 minutes’ drive) and see if you can spot your patch of land as you pass by. That’s after you’ve experienced one of the boat trips that run along the Menai Strait from the quayside below Caernarfon Castle, of course. There’s a very generous serving of facilities at Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping Park, from heated bathrooms and wifi to playgrounds and a games room. The pitches are spacious, giving you plenty of opportunities to soak in the scenery.

What customers say

Spacious, level pitches in beautiful Snowdonia, perfect for hikers and families. Praised for friendly staff, cleanliness, and great facilities, including hot showers. Riverside setting, play areas, and proximity to Snowdon are highlights. Some noted occasional farm noise or WiFi issues. Visitors highly recommend and plan to return.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Easy check in. The views are stunning and the grounds and facilities are well maintained and clean. There's lots for kids to do (we didn't have kids this time but will be back with kids for that reason). We only stayed for one night but we will definitely return.

Disliked It's very very dark on a night. Some kind of lighting would be beneficial when going to the toilets and navigating around the site. Our phone torches didn't quite suffice

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked We loved the scenic views from our pitch, river walk from the site. The staff were friendly throughout. The hard standing pitch was good in the rain, very quiet when we came in October. Shower was hot, with washing up station. We enjoyed our stay.

Eilio 2 bedroom mobile home (pet friendly)

Liked The static was very comfortable and the campsite itself is lovely. Very well situated to visit lots of local attractions. The facilities are second to none and I have never seen such large showers, which makes a massive change from the usual cramped ones where you can't even turn around. The pitches are a lovely size and the overall attractiveness of the site is amazing. The river side setting and BBQ area is very peaceful and relaxing and the dog walk is lovely, even when you don't have a dog with you.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Well maintained site, toilets and showers clean. Two children’s playgrounds on site and a family room with tv and lots of games. Excellent location for walking and close to Ffestiniog railway. The kids and I had a great time and we loved the site. We are looking forward to visiting again in the summer.
