  • Small quiet Flintshire farm site a mile from Northop
  • Chester, Talacre beach and Moel Famau within a half-hour drive
  • Meet the site's alpacas and buy fresh eggs from the free-range hens
If you prefer the personal vibe of a small family-run site rather than a lively holiday park, you’ll be in your element at The Little Bitty Farm and Campsite. There’s only a small number of pitches at this Flintshire farm site – although you will have to share the place with the resident alpacas and the flock of around 40 free-range hens, plus an assortment of local wildlife (rabbits, ducks and the odd red kite among them). This is a place that's all about peaceful rural stays, with quiet hours and dark skies initiatives in place to ensure all guests can relax and enjoy these lovely surroundings. It’s set on a quiet lane, so you won't be bothered by traffic – but the main road is just a few minutes’ walk away, where you can hail a bus or walk the mile to the nearest village, Northop (which has a handy shop as well as three pubs serving food). Despite the serene rural atmosphere, this is a handy location indeed for getting out to explore the area. The towns Mold and Flint are both within an easy 10-minute drive, and the A55 North Wales Expressway is less than a mile away for journeys further afield. Within half an hour's drive you could be visiting castles, walking up the area's highest hill, hitting the beach, ambling through the forest or touring the historic streets of Chester. Back on site you'll have access to simple facilities including toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point, and you’ll be able to say hello to any friendly locals that drop by to tend their allotments next door. There are usually eggs for sale from the farm's hens.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass trailer tent campsite

Liked Everything. Lovely basic site with clean toilets and showers. Dishwashing area is clean and tidy as well as added bits like cookers, pots and even a fridge/ freezer for campers to use. They had anything you might need from pegs to hammers and pumps for airbeds. I wish the owners all the success in becoming more than a pop up site and can’t wait to visit again! The kids loved seeing the animals and feeding the chickens.

2 bedroom ready tent (four person)

Liked Third time staying here. We love it. Everything you need for a stress free camping experience. We go for the ready made tent or the safari tent. Both are really good. Our boy loves watching the chickens and alpacas. We've been really lucky with the weather too but so much space in the tents it wouldn't matter if it rained. Added bonus to this stay we had luxury air beds. Had a lovely night's sleep and really cozy

2 bedroom ready tent (four person)

Liked Very friendly welcome, clean and well maintained, lots if useful amenities. You could tell everything was pretty new. Shower nice and hot. Nice touch having the animals!

Disliked I slept pretty badly on the airbed fold out chair thing, but might have just been me! A little bit of a kids play area would have been good. Don't think it had wi-fi, or I couldn't find it.

From the manager: Hi Zach, We are so sorry to hear about your discomfort, Its always a massive disappointment to us to hear a guest has suffered any loss of enjoyment. I suppose it was taken for granted the adults would use the larger airbeds, given this tent has the luxury of a high end massive King size extra high air matress with inbuilt pump and another high qualigy Coleman Double air mattress, the sofa bed was put in for the kids, I we had of known you were 2 families sharing the accomodation we would happily have found you another adult air matress, so we will take this learning and ensure we check sleeping arrangement with guests.
We dont advertise either Wifi or a childrens play area, these are considered distractions and certainly a play area would be amazing to entertain children, we hoped the nature, location, local parks, allotments and animals offer a more holistic, nature focused distraction and reduce noise, accidents and so we can only apologise you reduced your score on these points given we have a 10/10 standard rating form 99% of guests. We do have wifi in our home and would gladly offer this near the house should anyone ever have a need, but the signal is 5G and so we felt this was sufficient, but as we werent aware of your need we can only apologise and will ensure Pitchup better explain the lack of a playground or wifi.... thanks for coming and staying and seems otherwise you all enjoyed your stay.

Primitive grass tent campsite (large)

Liked The hosts were absolutely amazing, the facilities and location were fantastic with the hosts going above and beyond throughout the whole stay creating a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere, you literally could not have asked for more from them…..and if you did they would most likely have obliged.

The chickens and the alpacas were fantastic for the children and adults alike.
