Full steam ahead to Tan Y Bryn Glamping, a stunning, modern site in a central spot in North Wales. Here, every little detail has been carefully thought out for a memorable stay, whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a peaceful trip or a base to do some proper exploring with your friends. Not to mention, it has stunning views of mountains and the North Wales coast, which stretches out towards Llandudno's Great Orme. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, there are plenty of thoughtful amenities on site from clean, well-maintained showers and toilets to a communal fridge and a washing-up area. Feel free to bring your furry friends along, as dogs are also more than welcome. They'll likely appreciate exploring alongside you, with so many pretty walking trails – including woodland paths and a nature reserve – nearby. It's only a 15-minute drive from the site to the northern edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), so there are plenty of adventures to be had in the local area, whether it's a hike or outdoor activities. On those days when you feel like sightseeing instead, take the easy 10-minute drive to the Victorian resort town of Llandudno, where there are shops, restaurants and a beach. Medieval Conwy Castle is also only 15 minutes' drive away. At Tan Y Bryn Glamping, they pride themselves on being a welcoming experience, rather than just a place to stay; the friendly owners are always on hand to greet you and share local tips.

FHU cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked: Absolutely stunning and peaceful views. Staff are all so pleasant and work really hard. Well maintained and very clean toilets and showers. Communal pot washing area & microwave. Washer and dryer comes in handy too for those doing a lot of travelling. We had a motorhome pitch right next to the washing facilities. Electric and water hook up included and has a chemical waste area. Everything you need and definitely lives up to its 5 star rating. The site is lovely and pristinely kept. Well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed

Disliked: Absolutely nothing it’s perfect

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked: Tan Y Bryn is a motorhome site others should aspire to, well designed, immaculate, well sized pitches.
All 5 pitches have full services, electric, water & Grey waste, so from receiving the booking confirmation email with your pitch number, you pull up, connect up to the fast WiFi and relax.
There's just 5 pitches, so site facilities are proportional, modern, exceptionally clean and spacious. There's dishwashing facilities, Female bathroom and Male is within the accessibility, also within the kitchen area, there's microwave, washing machine and separate tumble drier.
The site is on a hill overlooking Rhos On Sea/Penrhyn Bay and is remote, which makes it very peaceful and relaxing. Its 40mins walk to the centre of Rhos on Sea (shortcut through the rugby club), or there's a 20min walk to a nice pub (Queens Head) via a steep hill, but beer legs assist on the return.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked: Fantastic site, all well thought out and well kept. Pitch info emailed before arrival so no need for check in.
Toilets and showers were immaculate. Lovely views down to the bay. The pods have the best view, with the van pitches situated behind them, still with decent views.
Loved the fairy lights around the pods in the evening.
Good walking paths from the site down to Llandudno or Rhos on sea.

Disliked: Access road from Mochdre narrow in places, however there were a couple of 8m vans staying so they must have managed the road ok.
Pitches are sloping so we needed levelling ramps.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked: This site is really nice with great views of Llandudno & the coast. Toilets/showers are modern and nice and clean. Nice local walks down to the local pub.

Disliked: The pitches slope quite a lot. Entry and exit to this site is 'challenging' for caravans and larger motorhomes. Because of this I would think twice about booking this site again.

Local attractions

North Wales is an excellent part of the world to visit if you’re into the outdoors or natural scenery. Eryri National Park (15 minutes’ drive) has lots of hiking and biking trails, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging uphill climbs. For those who like adrenaline activities, there are also underground adventures at Go Below Underground Adventures (30 minutes) and the chance to fly through the air on high-speed zipwires at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes). To move at a more leisurely pace, you may want to head to the North Wales coast instead. Take a peaceful walk along Llandudno's (10 minutes) Victorian pier or go for a ride on the historic cable car. The tram up the Great Orme also has excellent views. Conwy (10 minutes) also has one of the most well-preserved medieval castles in the country. Just a short drive from the A55, Tan Y Bryn Glamping is in a pretty prime location for venturing further afield too. Some splendid places to visit a little further out are Anglesey (45 minutes), Caernarfon (40 minutes), the seaside town of Rhyl (35 minutes) and the cathedral city of St Asaph (25 minutes).
