What customers say
Quiet, peaceful, well-kept site with friendly owners. Pitches have electric/water. Basic, dated but clean facilities. Lovely secluded location with a stream for a relaxing break. Some road/cleanliness complaints, but most enjoyed it and plan to return.

Simple, economical, peaceful site on a working farm

Liked We loved this site! We'd read the reviews and weren't expecting too much but honestly, if you want somewhere peaceful, simple and safe then this place is grand.
Particularly liked:
* The location - stunning countryside and the most glorious view of Conwy Castle on the approach to the site. Just minutes from Llandudno, Conwy, Bodnant Gardens etc
* Comms - Debbie was communicative before our trip, and checked in to the site daily while we were there. During our stay, we had one minor query but we called Roger and it was sorted within about 10 minutes.
* Showers - plenty of hot water and impressive water pressure. Clean too - some reviews comment that they are basic, but they have a hairdryer and plenty of pegs for clothes etc so are already streets ahead of sites costing twice as much.
* Laid-back vibe - it felt safe letting the kids roam (a tyre swing! Blackberry bushes!), they could play without us feeling anxious about traffic etc, and there are none of those miserable signs you sometimes get all over sites telling you what you are not allowed to do. Other campers were equally relaxed and it felt like a warm little community.
* Sheltered location - the site is in a valley and the pitches are overlooked by a grassy bank so there is no wind
* Bird life - so many birds! We had the Merlin app open and were able to identify about 12 different birdsongs (including a hobby and a firecrest)
* Dark sky - perfect for watching the Perseids meteor shower

Friendly owners

Liked The owners were helpful and friendly
Disliked Campers arriving late at night 10pm making lots of noise and causing disturbance. Times to arrive is 12pm to 7pm apparently. Toilets and showers could do with an update tbh. No WiFi option

Liked Pretty view from caravan.
Individual taps per pitch.
Disliked Access to the site is along a single track road, woe betide if you meet a vehicle coming the other direction.
Access to camping area is over a narrow bridge which is tricky with a long vehicle and long caravan - and way harder getting out as there isn't space to turn while towing a caravan without driving on the grassy slope which can be slippery - which we found to our cost.
The pitches are essentially along the stoney road, so cars drive very close to the awnings as the drive on and off the site.
The toilets need updating for the 21st century. I don't think they were cleaned in the 4 days we were there. Certainly the paper towel dispenser was never empty throughout our stay. (The only method of drying your hands). The elsan disposal was the most disgusting I have experienced in the last 30 years - which includes stays at several festival sites!
Communication from the owners was extremely poor, before we arrived we asked to stay another couple of nights as our plans had changed. They said they weren't sure and would text us. No text in the next 4 days. We considered it a lucky escape.

From the manager: Obviously that is your personal opinion of it site. On the other hand, I think this is a bit too much, the toilets are cleaned every day. Whoever makes a mess during the day isn’t my fault. I don’t remember you asking for another couple of nights, if the site wasn’t to your taste, can I ask why you asked to stay another two nights!! I did try to communicate with you every morning as I drive passed, but I didn’t get much of a reply. As I said I don’t remember you asking for the extra two nights.
