  • Busy family park within easy reach of Colwyn Bay and Rhyl
  • Close to the beach at Abergele
  • Pool, playground, bar, restaurant and takeaway
Thrills in Rhyl or getting out to play in Colwyn Bay: both are in easy reach of Ty Mawr Holiday Park on the north Wales coast – along with gorgeous beaches, market towns, charismatic castles, and the inspiring scenery of the Welsh mountains. This buzzing, family-oriented park is great for kids: they’ll spend hours whizzing down the flume into the indoor pool and running around the large outdoor playground, and can join Sparky the rabbit and his Krew in the free kids’ clubs for all ages. There are also plenty of organised sports activities on offer. In the evenings, the whole family can enjoy a knees-up at the all-singing, all-dancing entertainment bar, where live bands and cabaret make a regular appearance, as well as fun theme nights and competitions. The various food options on site include plenty of takeaway choices at the Rendezvous diner and the Boathouse bar and restaurant. Modern amenities include toilets, showers and heated changing areas.

Meadows powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Amenities were clean. Dog park was helpful. Ice cream man on site made the stay better.

Disliked: We were asked to move van after we had already set up, as I was not parked correctly but if I moved to where we should of been there would of been no space to sit and put up wind breakers as van next to use had a tent, photo uploaded was before the move. They did not have to move. I moved van 6" to the left and that was ok... Set up again is pouring rain. Note. There was not another pitch next to us so I was not sure what the issue was.

Maybe I am being picky but paid £80 to stay 2 nights.

Pitch was close to toilets very noisy till 2am, kids banging van as they passed.

Many dogs off the lead.

Liked: Plenty of room on the pitch, very clean and tidy, helpful staff, the park shop was not extortionately priced, the park was very easy to navigate

Disliked: Would have liked WiFi coverage throughout the site as could not get much 4g signal, but it wasn't a huge issue

Meadows powered grass travel trailer campsite (large)

Liked: Clean, well maintained touring pitches with plenty of space on the “large” pitches. Dog park is great and lets your dog have some time off lead to run around and burn off some energy, lots of facilities on site for kids to enjoy. Toilet block is clean and warm

Disliked: Showers are really small and cramped and difficult with a young family, as there is no space within the cubicle to accommodate more than one person.
Swimming timetable differs online to that displayed at the pool, and reception tell you conflicting information on times available, which resulted in us twice having to disappoint our small child when we arrived at the pool and where turned away for swimming - booking online was not available
