What customers say
This campsite offers a beautiful riverside setting with level sites and a chill vibe. Guests rave about the welcoming staff, on-site cafe, and great access to canoeing. Facilities are usually clean, though some find them a bit dated. Most enjoyed the peacefulness, but a few experienced noise; others noted insufficient facilities during peak times.

Enjoyed our short stay and would overall recommend
Primitive grass and earth campervan campsite
Liked I loved the vibe of this campsite. It’s small but had lovely chilled atmosphere. The girls looking after the place were genuinely lovely and very helpful. On site ice cream and good coffee too! And right next to river with beach you can swim from.
Disliked Agree with other reviews about shower and toilet facilities under resourced for number of campers; plumbing of showers seemed to not be coping well, and toilets were frequently dirty. A sign showing the shower/toilet block to left of cafe would go a long way as I think many people didn’t know it was there!

Close to the river for water…
Primitive grass and earth campervan campsite
Liked Close to the river for water sports and walks. Easy access to Hay or Brecon. Relaxed site with cafe, bar and visiting food truck. Family friendly and lots of facilities
Disliked The toilets and showers felt dirty with no cleaning records. Often no toilet paper and overflowing bins. As it is summer holidays, cleanliness should be a priority.
Showers had no changing cubicles for clothes/bags to be stored whilst showering.
These facilities could do with a revamp and a few changes to make them more desirable for users

Great site, great vibe, great facilities 👍
Primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked Easily accessible, safe, clean facilities and calm, friendly staff.
Able to rent camp-fires abd close to local amenities as well as great on-site café.
Equally, it's not everyday tgat you get to see a member of staff save someone's life then nonchalantly carry on with their safety briefing..... well done!
The adventure staff clearly know what they're doing and make sure everyone is enjoying their day.
Disliked Slightly overlooked by some retirement bungalows but nobody was nosy and it didn't detract from the stay.
