  • Single adults-only bell tent on the banks of the River Wye in Glasbury
  • A five-minute drive to Hay-on-Wye and the edge of the Brecon Beacons
  • Fishing and wild swimming on site; short walk to pub or canoe hire
Why stay at Aberllynfi Riverside Glamping? Well, there’s the excellent location, for starters – this adults-only site is in the grounds of Aberllynfi House, a grand Georgian residence with gorgeous views over the River Wye. And it’s not just the views, because guests here have access to the river for wild swimming, fishing and launching kayaks or canoes (bring your own kit for this, or hire canoes from the activity centre a few minutes’ walk away). The village of Glasbury is just a few minutes’ walk away as well, so you’ll be able to settle in at the local pub or enjoy a long lunch or afternoon tea if you don’t fancy being too active. There’s just the one bell tent here, so you should be in for a fabulously peaceful stay with plenty of personal space. Your domain includes both the tent itself (with a kingsize bed) and a neighbouring kitchenette cabin (with fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave). Your outdoor area has deckchairs, a picnic bench and a barbecue area, and your private bathroom (with toilet and shower) is a short stroll away at the main house. All bed linen, towels and toiletries are included to help keep your packing list nice and short. When you’re not just hanging out by the river on site, there are plenty of ways to fill your time in the local area – perhaps head out for hikes and other outdoor activities in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park or take it easy with an amble around the bookshops in Hay-on-Wye, five minutes’ drive away.
