  • Luxury lodge with lovely views in the Brecon Beacons National Park
  • Brecon and Pen y Fan trailhead 10 minutes' drive away
  • Ensuite shower and full kitchen; homemade Friday night meals to book
How might you like to sink into an armchair with a drink in hand (optional but recommended) and look out at gorgeous views of the Brecon Beacons National Park? Lovely idea, right? And it’s one that you can bring to life with a stay at J and A Glamping, in the northern part of the park, about 10 minutes’ drive from Brecon. In fact, you’ll have choices to make when it comes to admiring the views – as well as that comfy armchair, you’ll also have the option of sitting outside on your deck when the weather’s good. And of course, there are plenty of great trails around for walks and bike rides among fabulous scenery. For starters, both the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal towpath and the trailhead for Pen y Fan are within a 10-minute drive, as is access to the traffic-free Taff Trail for cyclists or walkers. Whatever you choose to fill your time with, you’ll be coming back to a smart luxury lodge kitted out with heating, an ensuite shower room and a well-equipped kitchen (with fridge, cooker, kettle, toaster and microwave). Bed linen and towels are provided, plus extra touches like cosy bathrobes and slippers. The lodge sleeps two people, plus a well-behaved dog. If you're here on a Friday evening, you can book in for a meal at Ca’s Citchen, where owner Ca creates tasty meals from locally sourced produce. For other foodie needs, there are plenty of restaurants and shops in Brecon.
