What customers say

Great location near a beautiful beach. Staff are friendly, facilities are excellent, and it's great for kids. However, some found toilets/showers weren't clean, hot water was spotty, and Wi-Fi was weak on touring pitches. Dog fees and the tenting area also drew criticism.

Star Dunes FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Staff very friendly

Disliked Pool was closed and that was why we paid such a high price for a pitch!
Pitch was untidy and we had to clear branches and bits of concrete before pitching up.
Disabled toilet lock was broken and there was no lock! It just spun around and I hated using it but needed the handle to help me get up.
The Crazy Golf, advertised as ‘included in the price’ was just dilapidated and so bad it looked dangerous so we didn’t bother.

Star Dunes FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Loved the location, right next to the dunes which lead to the most beautiful white sand beach I have ever seen!
Not too many touring pitches, only about 20.
Clean toilet block and the showers were fabulously hot and the room was heated to perfection!
Liked the reception staff and the layout of the site in general, it looked very clean and tidy.
I didn't use the pool and club, or the restaurant, as I like the camping experience and use campsites so I have access to water and electricity.
I chose Nairn for the stunning Highland location.
I travelled up from my home in Cornwall with my teenage grandsons, a 13 hour drive, to enjoy the mountains, Lochs and the sea.

Disliked There was nothing to dislike!

Star Dunes FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Toilets, showers and ease to get to beach and country walks with my dog 🐕

Disliked Grey water drain blocked
Took ages for tap water or waste water to drain away.

Good site but not great.
I stayed in May £28 midweek with EHC.
Believe it's £70 per night at peak times which is way over priced.
My biggest gripe is £4 per night for my one dog.
Why !
It's in my van.
IMO just a total rip off for doing sweet nothing.

Liked Pitches were big with plenty space

Disliked Visited the restaurant and was told they had a section where dogs were allowed my sister arrived with her dog but as soon as we were finished our dinner we were asked to leave as her dog had barked a few times
What do they expect if they allow dogs

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Park was very well kept, facilities were great. Toilet block was spotless. Food was good. Entertainment was ok. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beaches were absolutely stunning.

Disliked Meals and snacks were a bit overpriced.
Camping area was the furthest point from the main entertainment and restaurant area, however this didn't really affect our stay.
