What customers say

This well-maintained site offers a peaceful stay just a short walk from Loch Lomond. Guests rave about the exceptionally clean, modern facilities, friendly staff, and spacious, level sites. It's an ideal base for exploring, though some note limited on-site amenities and occasional Wi-Fi issues.

Power optional grass tent campsite

Liked Lovely warm welcome from lesley and jen :)
We had a 5 night camping stay, with our dog.

very clean site. Bins avaliable, loo disposal avaliable.
Spotlessly clean grass pitches with optional electric hook up. Handy little shop for essentials, ice cream, cold drinks and snacks. Super smooth check in.

Shower and loo block, always lovely and warm with waterfall showers. Shower and loo block was always clean and tidy.
Disabled loo with shower and loo in one room with grab rails, ramp accsess and is an accessible site. I'm an ambulatory wheelvhair user and one of the best sites i have camped at for accessibility.

Washing up room with hot water and draining board. Also washing machine facilities, we didn't use them but was helpfull to have them there incase.
Short walk to the Loch, quiet camp site.

Wifi accsess across the park, speedy and never struggled to link to it.

We bought our dog pippa with us, plenty of space for her, lots of walks nearby.
Local shops, places to eat nearby and your not far from whatever you need!

Both my wife and I would like to say a big thank you for such a lovely camping experience 😊 we will be back for sure

Power optional grass tent campsite

Liked I liked that they offered a bbq night on Friday and Saturday of our stay and the small shop. There is also a lovely walk down to the loch and also to a viewing point around 1km along side the loch. Facilities were clean and warm. Ideal base for visiting Luss and Conic Hill

Disliked Disliked that my dog although obviously allowed at the site was not allowed to be off the lead at any time which I totally understand but there were very few others there during our stay and he is very well behaved. I know that is not always the case but a little bit of common sense could be applied rather than being shouted at if the dog is not on the lead for a few seconds

Power optional grass tent campsite

Liked Great campsite exactly as described. The check in was really friendly and welcoming, we had plenty of space on the campsite as it was quiet. WiFi was exceptional, easily streamed Netflix, sky etc. Toilets and showers were cleaned every day and were very clean. About a 15 minute walk to Loch Lomond too. There are also a number of options for takeaways via just eat too, which was helpful.

Disliked A little remote, not within walking distance to a pub or shop but can’t complain too much as we knew that when booked and not much they can do about that..

Local attractions

This is a central base indeed… set your sights on historic Stirling (40 minutes’ drive), a city with historic credentials like a castle, The National Wallace Monument and The Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre (45 minutes). The latter is based on a medieval battle location, which some of you might recognise from the film Braveheart. Of course, Glasgow (50 minutes) has more historic attractions, especially museums and impressive architecture. There are shops and theatres for those seeking a simpler kind of entertainment. Those who haven’t already tasted enough whisky in the city bars can pay a visit to the Glengoyne Distillery (20 minutes), which runs tours and tastings (including of their tasty single malt whisky). Perhaps you’re an animal fan too. There are 300-plus creatures at the Blair Drummond Safari Park (35 minutes), including giraffes and lions, and hands-on activities with the farm animals at Briarlands Farm (35 minutes).
