What customers say
Spacious, well-kept site with friendly staff & clean facilities. Lovely surroundings, ample pitch space, and great walks nearby. On-site bar/pizza a plus. Peaceful, with a play park & goats. Some showers are dated, occasional noise noted. Great for families & relaxing getaways.

A fantastic site that I plan to return to!
Powered grass campsite (large)
Liked This is a great site for families. Fortunately for me it is only 30 mins away from home, but you could make a big journey and not find somewhere as lovely as here.
The goats, park and nature trail were a big hit for my 7 and 5 year old. The fishing lakes were also beautiful spots, and we enjoyed seeing people catching fish and a heron sat on one lake quite happily! The little shop and handy supplies (and ice cream), and Sam's Bar served great pizzas.
Disliked The "large pitch" wasn't particularly large compared to other sites I've camped at but it was level and easy to pitch on. The toilet and shower block was quite dated - but it was all clean and tidy which is what you ultimately hope for!

Definitely one to revisit.. would recommend
Primitive grass campsite (large)
Liked Love the location, stayed before and always had a good pitch with peaceful night sleep… pizzas are decent, staff welcoming.. we will come again…
Disliked Showers, they work so useable, they are warm but no temperatures gauge… could do with updating or more pressure..

Would stay again but would use own facilities
Powered grass campsite (large)
Liked Lovely site, spacious pitches, bar and food shack. Sitting by the lake with a beer (or two). Peaceful nights sleep.
Disliked Toilet and shower blocks very grubby....yuk. With that size site somebody needs to be employed to monitor and clean the blocks.

size of the campsite…
Powered grass campsite (small)
Liked size of the campsite
Disliked the fact that initially, you gave us a lumpy pitch on a slope. health centre didn’t seem to allow for non members. we ended up beside families (normally no problem) who let their small children cry for a long time and others who argued loudly. i was glad to leave!

Blackland Lakes is an absolute gem…
Powered grass campsite (small)
Liked Blackland Lakes is an absolute gem of a campsite! 🌿 We were blown away by how spacious and well-maintained it is – there’s plenty of room to spread out and relax without feeling crowded. The facilities provide everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, making it stress-free and enjoyable from start to finish.
The ample play area and kids’ park kept the little ones happily entertained for hours, while the serene, beautiful tiny lakes added a peaceful charm to the surroundings. Whether you’re there for family fun, a quiet getaway, or simply to enjoy nature, Blackland Lakes offers the perfect balance.
We’ll definitely be returning – highly recommended!
