What customers say
This popular adults-only site has spacious, level pitches and a relaxed vibe. Guests love the friendly staff, great value, and on-site pub with tasty food. Perfect for exploring Exmoor and the coast. Facilities are clean but basic; some could use updating. Many want to return.

Liked Great toilets and showers. Lovely campsite
Disliked In previous stays if you were staying in a room or on the campsite you are prioritised for food. Sadly, they no longer seem to do that.

Not as good as it looks
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Attractive pub in the countryside
Disliked Bare open field in a very exposed location on Exmoor. Basic facilities were available but the dog walk was around the edge of an open field and there were no footpaths nearby. Bar staff were unable to cope with customers so there were long waits at the bar for service. Tried to order meals for the two of us at 6pm and told that due to a large party booking they would not be taking further food orders until after 8pm. We had earlier asked about booking a table and told to just turn up. Thankfully we had food on board our van so we ate and then set off for home rather than stay. They could have warned us about the large party and we would have come to eat earlier. We were very unhappy about the service provided. It would have been an uncomfortable night in the middle of a windswept field.

Liked The site was big and spacious lots of space park plenty of facilities available and cheap
Disliked Unfortunately, the facilities were a little bit tired. Could do with a revamp. Pub is lovely staff very friendly food was run of the mill and very expensive.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked It’s hard to find a campsite that’s not overpriced for a small tent with no electric but we’ve finally found one! This is by far one of the best places we’ve camped! Lots of space, friendly staff, decent facilities and the pub has lovely food!

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Clean campsite, big pitches. Toilets and showers very clean and well maintained.
Food in the pub is lovely, well priced and hot and good portions.
The chap who showed us to our pitch was absolutely lovely!
Disliked The bar staff were ok, the young man was nice but one of the ladies in there was very abrupt, verging on rude. I managed it ok but I can see why you have negative reviews on pitch up with the way she talks to people. The other downside was the ridiculous cost of the beer - £7.25 per pint. This will stop us coming again unfortunately as it would be nice to go and have a drink but at this cost, no. Personal preference I know but be aware of this cost before ordering a drink.

Powered grass and earth campsite
Liked Nice and relaxing site with a good pub and plenty of room in the front beer garden to relax with a beer in the sunshine.. We had a nice welcome and were shown a number of pitches to choose from.
The toilets closest to the pitches are unisex and didnt look great from the outside. However, inside they were absolutely fine. There are also separate male / female toilets behind the pub as well as individual shower rooms.
Really enjoyed our weekend here.
Disliked Nothing to dislike - apart from the bloke in the next tent keeping half of Exmoor awake snoring.
Unable to access pub WiFi.
