Liked: Lovely views. Good for dog walks. Witnessed the steam train whilst there. Water and EHU on our pitch. Small site but walkable to Waitrose and farm shop
Disliked: Some train noise but so fast you don’t notice and didn’t affect sleep. No wifi

Liked: Friendly owner. Clean site. Electric Hookup. Basic, but the price is perfect for it. Lovely surroundings.
Disliked: One of the 2 toilets didn't lock. Cold water tap in the toilets. Would be great to have a shower on site. But all of these are acceptable at the price paid. (People mention the train noise, in our opinion, it wasn't noisy).

Liked: Easy to find, just off main road. Flat and spacious pitches. Right next to Avon Valley Country Park, so great if you stay here with children. Supermarket a short walk in one direction and farm shop and cafe in the other. Main line train noise was not a problem for us.
Disliked: Toilets were pretty disgusting and not clean, the door on one cubicle was swollen with the damp weather and did not shut properly and the doors open directly onto the gravel entrance area. General maintenance was poor, there were dog poo bags chucked in the hedge behind our van. We don't have a dog. Expensive for a December stay.

From the manager: I'm really sorry to hear you were disappointed by our site. I have checked the lavatories and although I agree that that they are definitely not luxurious, they are clean and functional. I try to ensure that my description is accurate; they are agricultural at best. It is unfortunate that one door has bowed in the poor weather and I will get this fixed now that the holiday season is over. I cannot imagine why anyone would throw dog poo bags in the hedge when we have a large bin on site. They seem to have disappeared now but I will be more vigilant in future to ensure this never happens again. We have signs on the site asking people with dogs to be respectful of other site users and the site in general. Thank you for staying with us and if you change your mind you will always be welcome to stay again.

Liked: Very large pitches, quiet, owner Suzanne was exceptionally friendly and helpful, very accommodating.
I am 76, and my wife 74, our 57th wedding anniversary so wanted to go to the xmas markets at Bristol and Bath, a leisurely walk for 15 minutes to the bus stop was no problem even though I use a stick as an aid.
TV reception very good, both toilets were clean, would recommend this CL to all.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Straightforward basic site, just what we tend to book with large central grass area that we could have our dog on a long lead on. Due to the recent raint we decided to park on some hardstanding as opposed to the two remaining grass pitches.
Disliked: Didn't realise that being next door to "Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park" meant that there was a fun fair, pumpkin picking and fear event on till gone 11pm and the site bordered the car park to it.
Unless you are visiting the park then double check the parks website to see if they have any events on before booking it.

From the manager: Apologies for the extra noise and traffic. I have requested that this is put in our site description on Pitchup. I try to let all customers know that we have lots of Halloween events going on in October but I need to ensure that all guests can see that on PitchUp too. Thank you for your feedback - it is gratefully received.

Liked: The location was convenient for visiting Bristol. We parked our car near to nearest bus stop and bought a daily bus pass which we used throughout the city. That was excellent for £6.
Disliked: To be honest it is a very basic site. We didnt need to use the toilets but they were definitely in need of a refurb.

From the manager: Thanks for your comment. I hope to renovate the lavatories at some point in the future and will do my best to ensure they are more acceptable to our guests.

Liked: Very handy as a base as we were dropping off our daughter at UWE.
Nice a peaceful, with the exception of the train line which is relatively close; however, not close enough or busy enough to be a nuisance.
