What customers say
This peaceful, spacious campsite offers large, level pitches and friendly staff. Guests love the location for exploring country parks and the New Forest. Some found facilities dated, Wi-Fi unreliable, and had issues with toilet paper/shower pressure.

Primrose powered grass campsite
Liked The location, the pitch and was quiet from 10:30pm.
Disliked The showers were really mouldy, dark and dingy. The toilets were linked, men’s and women’s so you can hear everything and there’s a big gap at the top. There was only one sink in the toilet area and the ladies door was broken. The washing up area was outside so when it was raining we got soaked. The hot water took 10 minutes to work.
There were travellers situated in a group near to us, constantly driving in and out the site, lots of vehicles such as a rubbish tipper, they were using very noisy equipment such as chain saws and leaf blowers, really off putting when your sitting outside trying to enjoy your dinner.
It was difficult to speak to the campsite about this as we believe they are affiliated.
The price was a lot considering how poor the facilities are.

I would not book again as there is no customer service.

Liked Didn't arrive
Disliked Tried to call to arrange a late check in, after 1700. The previous reviews stated the gates were locked after 1700.
As they did not answer 20 plus calls we decided not to go.

Primrose powered grass campsite
Liked Peaceful, quiet site. Ideal for visiting all the local attractions in Dorset. A very nice lady greeted us and made us feel welcome. Didn't get a chance to try out the many walks nearby as it was raining most of the time but Hilliers garden centre was very close for a good breakfast!
Disliked Would have liked the facilities to have been cleaned more regulary and paper towels replenished.

Primrose powered grass campsite
Liked This is the 2nd time this year we have stayed we love the quietness of the site, tidy, clean and enough room and close by to every where we wanted to go
Disliked I am disabled and the only thing I would say is if its possible for a rail to go on the shower wall as I struggled in the shower on my own as a bit slippery but that would be the only thing I would suggest x

Primrose powered grass campsite
Liked Good location, Sue was very polite and welcoming when we arrived. Showers were a good temperature.
Disliked The facilities are very basic, the toilets and showers weren’t very clean, the washing up area also wasn’t that clean and often no hot water for washing up. Have been to other sites in similar location with better facilities (e.g swimming pools and on site bar) included for the same price.

Primrose powered grass campsite
Liked Staff were lovely.
Nice flat pitches.
Toilet's kept clean despite the lack of toilet roll and hand roll.
Showers were fine.
Nice sized pitch
Disliked This is a predominantly filled traveller site, which normally wouldn’t bother me, but when you have their kids unpegging your tent and screaming outside your tent at 10.30 at night it’s not great, along with the amount of cars in and out constantly playing loud music at 7 in the morning. Not to mention my mixed race partner being called the N word by the traveller children. Not impressed.
Toliets often had no loo paper or towel roll, but were kept clean.
