Powered grass tent campsite

Liked Stayed for 4 days lovely quiet site, toilets and showers were nice and clean and nice hot water, small park for the kids, small shop on site for essentials ( never used it so not sure of prices) they had Wi-Fi but never used it as good 4g service and a barn with some games in ( ping pong, air hockey and a pool table ) site set in the rolling hills with lovely views/ sunsets about 15 mins from weymouth. Pitches were good size ( we had air 6 tent with porch and separate gazebo and still had plenty of room and site had wooden benches for each pitch which was handy

Liked Lovely little camp site. Owners were really helpful and assisted two seperate bookings being pitched next to each other. Great location as near several beaches.

Disliked Some slight issues with toilets not flushing and low water pressure but just meant queuing for the remaining toilets a little. Toilet roll holders had a tendency to loose toilet roll inside them so advise take a roll just incase.

Liked Great campsite!
This was our second time visiting, we come as a large group and the staff are always great at keeping us all together (we give them a heads up aswell!)
The two staff on site are so helpful and friendly!
Park for the kiddies and plenty of space to run around.
Great little shop with all the basics and anything you might have forgotten! And lots of sweet treats!
Food truck on a Saturday to save you from any more sausages and burgers!

Liked Lovely site, really friendly owners. Pitch was great and big, playground for the kids and loads of room to run around. We had a great time.

Disliked Only grumble would be the facilities, they felt cramped at times when really busy, but otherwise they were nice

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked Nice site and lovely staff. Pitches were fairly level and they let you pick where you want to go with most pitches having electric. Amazing little farm shop with so much more than the essentials, including lots of local items. Games room for the kids is fab as is playground, also useful they had fridge open to use and a freezer for ice packs. Toilets and showers were clean. Only 12minutes from Weymouth beach, plus close to supermarkets. Quiet and beautiful views over surrounding farm land.

Disliked Toilets and showers are clean but the showers due to the nature of the set up did have a bit of a sewage smell (it was also hot). Didn’t affect the site but just made you take a quick shower.

Liked Excellent site. Friendly hosts, clean toilets and showers and plenty of them. Great washing up area and freezer for ice packs was very handy. Lots of room and lovely views. Good little shop and a kids play area.

Disliked Shame they didn’t have fire pits for hire, but they did sell some for £20 which was very useful.

Liked A very friendly and helpful welcome. Site is extremely well kept. Good sized pitches on flat ground, so a great bonus when camping. Showers & toilets were kept very clean and always had hot water and there is a very good washing up station as well. There is a little farm shop and a laundry room, a freezer for you to keep your freezer blocks and a fridge for cold foods. This site is a great little gem. Would definately stay here again.

Disliked NONE.

Local attractions

After a wander round Weymouth, make for Chesil Beach (20 minutes' drive), a narrow and wild spit of land that’s more like an airstrip. From here, hike the South West Coast Path down to Portland Bill and its lighthouse; you’ll bag sights of half a dozen castles and forts along the way. Alternatively, go east around the coast for about half an hour, taking in Lulworth Castle then dipping down to the blue waters, white pebble beach and wacky rock formations of Lulworth Cove, a prime spot for rockpooling as well as filling up the photo album. If it’s windsurfing, kayaking round the cliffs of the Jurassic Coast or paddleboarding you're seeking, Weymouth has a good handful of hire shops and schools, with more round the coast at Charmouth (40 minutes). The beach there is a brill spot to get the kids fossil hunting; head into nearby Lyme Regis (45 minutes) to learn about the billion years of history that created the coast and to see some fab fossil treasures. There’s more history to be had at Dorchester a 20-minute drive away, from a Roman amphitheatre to a Neolithic henge and an Iron Age fort. To meet your ancestors (in a manner of speaking) go see the antics at Monkey World, half an hour from the site, or monkey about yourself on the slides, flumes and chutes of Splashdown Waterpark, an hour away in Poole.
