Super. Well worth another visit.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked: The facilities were excellent and close to our pitch. The walks around the area are stunning especially along the coast. The people in the Reception area were friendly and helpful. The whole campsite it spotless and well maintained.
Disliked: You're right it can be windy!! The pitches could be more level. Sorry! Would be useful to be able to book a pitch rather than find one.

Liked: Lovely sized pitches, we booked a gravel pitch which was a very good size with a lovely large piece of grass to the side. The facilities were all very clean. A well stocked shop , a bar and swimming pool which we didn’t use. Fabulous walks straight from the site.

Liked: It was quiet, well organized and clean. Great location especially for walkers. Dog friendly too. Good size pitches but still with privacy. Everyone seemed friendly as were the staff. The app is full of useful ideas and the amenities on site were great. We will be back again and again.

Quiet during school holidays.
15 minute walks to two lovely beaches, one quiet, one in a nice fishing port. Luxurious swimming pool.
We very much look forward to going again, thank you for having us.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Excellent site, though hilly, with fantastic facilities.
Little Shepherd primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Pre-checking in online means arriving and going straight to your pitch which was very easy, convenient and maximising holiday time (though if you do have to stop via reception, there is a toilet opposite, perfect after a long journey!). There was plenty of space in Little Shepherds Camping Meadow, the non-electric camping field, which was well kept and close to the toilet block (though an uphill walk to it). The facilities are excellent and well-maintained, including warm toilet blocks (no being cold when getting dried after a shower!). All the staff I encountered in the shop and pub were very friendly. We had a delicious dessert (oreo sundae, yum!) in the pub, which is also part fire museum.
Disliked: The non-electric camping field is on a bit of a slope. The area of the field that backs onto the hard-based pitches seems the flattest, but was full when we arrived, so we had to pitch on the far side of the field. I don't mind a bit of a slope when camping (it's to be expected) but our airbed did keep sliding to the the side of the tent! The entire site is on a bit of a hill, which doesn't bother us but may affect those with mobility issues.

Liked: Absolutely beautiful site.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful, Vicky was so lovely, thank you.
Booked up for next May.
Disliked: The only negative thing really is going into the shop, thought it may have been a automatic door, quite hard for disabled and elderly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Powered grass tent or RV campsite
Liked: We've been coming to this site as a family for 30 years but we haven't been able to visit since before COVID, and we were pleasantly surprised. The bathrooms, restaurant, pool, park have all had a face lift but we could see the original character and bones of the old site still there which means it still provokes all the same happy memories and feelings that we so love. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the new soft play.
Unfortunately didn't get to experience the restaurant this time but the Sunday carvery smelled absolutely amazing. We will be back to give it a try!!
Disliked: I do think that having to pay for the pool numerous times in one weekend stay is excessive and wonder if an additional payment could be made when booking to allow access during the duration of your stay. If we'd gone every day of our stay, which my children wanted to do, we'd have paid over £60 on swimming alone.
Also our first morning we visited the toilets numerous times, as you do with children, and there was no toilet roll, having to dish out with other guests from the 2 cubicles that did. Strange for a Friday morning but this was the only morning we experienced this so not too bad.

From the manager: Thank you from all of the team for the review and rating.
We do have swimming pool passes that you can buy at reception and the pool which you can use for your stay and they make it much more economical if you use it every day.
Lovely clean site, excellent facilities, nice staff.
