What customers say
This tranquil, secluded campsite has roomy, level sites in a lovely rural spot near Dartmoor. Guests raved about the super-clean facilities, showers, and toilets with plenty of hot water. A big communal tent for bad weather was a hit. Owners are often called friendly & helpful. It's a simple but comfy, quiet escape. A slightly bigger entrance sign would be helpful.

A little gem of a campsite, highly recommended!
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Location fabulous. Lovely small quiet site with all the basics needed including a large mess tent to sit and eat in if raining. Fortunately we didn't need to use it as the weather was fantastic. Friendly staff and the facilities were very clean and well maintained. The short walk to Blackingstone Rocks is not to be missed as the views from the top are spectacular.

Liked Peaceful area. Lovely facilities which are v clean (toilet, shower, sink and communal messing tent for the more social!). Lots of space. Lots of nature (we saw deer, buzzards, owls and others all within the space of a few hours and a few kilometres of walking). Very level with a choice of shaded or open pitches.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Large open and mostly flat pitch with well mowed grass. A large mess tent for use if weather turns nasty. Flushing loos and large sink to wash up in. The showers were very good and roomy and hot water is sufficient dependant on sunshine as it is solar power.
The hosts are friendly and helpful.
Quite secluded and peaceful spot on the Eastern side of Dartmoor only a very short drive from Moretonhampstead.
I can recommend the Union Inn for food.
Basic camping without all the noises of a big campsite but enough to make it comfortable.

Excellent!
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Jenny and John are very friendly! They helped us a lot. Our car burned down after pitching up. They lent us the spare bedroom in their house, gave us a lift to a restaurant and back and even gave us a lift to the train station.
Disliked We hadn’t had the time to fully enjoy the campsite as our stay was cut short.

Liked Heel veel ruimte en natuur in een prachtige omgeving. Fijne plek voor kampeerders die van basic houden. We like! Heerlijke tijd gehad (4 nachten). Wij verbleven in de ‘boomgaard’. Ideale plek voor hangmat en een kampvuurtje. Dank aan de aardige eigenaren voor hun gastvrijheid.
