What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful, "back to nature" experience with a beautiful, wild meadow setting and stunning sea views. Guests loved the clean compost toilets and solar-powered showers, with plenty of hot water. Its convenient location allows easy walks to local pubs, a village shop, and Putsborough beach. While the wild, eco-friendly ethos is highly appreciated, a few minor issues were noted regarding confusing online payment and shower intermittency.

Easy to feel you have got away from it all!
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful site just, over a valley just in from the coast. It's called wild camping but there are long drop loos and solar showers which run hot!! Plus clean running water. Great area for walking, swimming, surfing, sailing; two good pubs/places to eat in the village and it's up some narrow roads – so off the beaten track.

Great location, rustic and peaceful
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Great location for beautiful view to the sea. I loved the flower farm that we could look around . The compost toilets were well made and clean..we didn't end up using the shower but they looked good.
We easily walked to the local pub for an evening meal and the village shop on Sunday morning for local eggs and bread .
Our pitch was just a simple mown patch in the long grass which I liked . Will probably return as we only stayed one night . We did walk to Putsborough beach via a nice country walk. Great beach cafe and shop there .
I like the family farm are encouraging wildlife and planting trees .
Ideal if you like a rustic, back to nature camp.
Disliked I found the online shop to pay confusing, we booked online via Pitchup, but it wasn't clear (to me lol!) what to choose on the shop to settle up on arrival..however I emailed the family, got a quick response and paid the lovely campsite manager when he came round

Fantastic site with great facilities, well worth the money.
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked The location, the scenery was awesome. It was so tranquil, I slept through the night, unheard of for me. The compost toilets were great and the solar showers amazing. The site is only a five minute walk to the village where there is a shop and a couple of pubs. I walked to Putsborough beach, about a mile and a half away, quite commercial but great for surfing, safe to swim as far as I could tell and plenty of parking spaces with a cafe too.

Peacefull , simple back to basic site…
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Peacefull , simple back to basic site
Disliked Showers , Matt came out to have a look as thought may be out of gas . Showed me it working initially but I think the unit has a fault of the leisure / inverter battery getting tired after a few moments it turned itself off reverting back to cold water. Turned it back on got warm then within a minute or so cold again and the shower control pannel was turned off .
