Liked Il posto ci è piaciuto moltissimo. Molto naturale e molto vicino al mare e ai percorsi lungo la costa. Abbiamo camminato lungo tutto il sentiero della costa e fatto il bagno in una spiaggia molto bella!

Despite the amazing location, I would not stay here again.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite (XL)
Liked Location is amazing. Very close to lizard and about a 40 minute walk down to Kynance cove. Pitch was a good size as well.
Disliked There were often long waits for both the showers and washing up facilities. There appeared to be too many pitches for the facilities available. This was worse over the weekend when the campsite was still advertising availability but, in my opinion, the facilities were not adequate for the number of pitches that they made available.

Chaotic operation and poor facilities

Liked Fab location near Kynance yep I'll give them that!
Disliked I can barely be bothered to write this, but people deserve a warning: this is one of the worst campsites I’ve ever stayed on.
The owner is sometimes described as “quirky.” I’d go with “eccentric bordering on chaotic.” When I arrived, the reception hut looked like it had been assembled from scrap wood and good intentions. The staff didn’t seem to know who was “dealing with me.” One assured me they’d just had a delivery of firewood. Moments later, the owner bustled in and, without missing a beat, announced, “We do that in the evening,” before juggling my registration, a phone call, misplaced staff, and a running commentary on her broken shower boiler. Directions to my pitch were scattered among throwaway remarks like, “There’s a shower over there, but that’s the one with the broken boiler.”
After setting up camp, I went back to pay for the firewood, plus a pit and firelighters (£8 for the wood, £15 total). The staff member carefully noted the order and asked the owner when it would be delivered. Her answer was that she wanted to say 6:30, but didn’t really know. Confidence-inspiring.
By 7:30, no sign of wood. Then I saw her driving past in a caddy and thought, finally!—only to watch her deliver wood to other pitches. When I waved her down, she apologised she knew I’d been waiting all day but the information had somehow been lost. She returned with my delivery: a huge, firepit, firelighters, kindling, and an old fraying bag of mouldy logs, pulled from the back of a van stuffed with random junk, including a sawdust-covered mattress she brushed off mid-conversation. The firepit was full of ash, a burnt beer can, and a broken clothes peg. The wood—some black, some dotted with white fungus—wouldn’t burn no matter how much kindling I used.
When I pointed this out, she dismissed it, suggested I choose my own logs from a trailer full of the same mouldy wood. When I refused, she insisted the wood wasn’t the problem. When I said okay and walked off, she sent her boyfriend to chase me down with a refund — whilst he insisted that “no one else has had a problem.”
Facilities? Grim. Old, grubby toilets, one shower for dozens of pitches, and signs telling you water is precious and to shower in under five minutes. I didn’t risk it.
I left at 10 a.m. the next morning, left a refund request with staff, and emailed the owner. Six days later: silence.
I’ve stayed at wonderfully run campsites nearby with clean facilities and proper kiln-dried wood. This one felt like a live-action test of how much incompetence a camper can endure before packing up.

Disliked The walk to Kynance cove is quite long and steep, would struggle carrying a board down.

Liked We had a fantastic stay at this spacious and well-kept campsite. It’s managed by two men and a lovely lady, all of whom were incredibly kind and welcoming — they really made us feel at home.
The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with good toilets and hot showers. For breakfast, you can enjoy toast or bread and butter along with tea or coffee, which was a lovely touch. The prices are very reasonable too, making it great value for money.
The location is perfect — just a 5-minute walk to Lizard Village, where you’ll find great pubs and restaurants. A really peaceful and friendly place to stay. Highly recommended!

great place to stay
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite (XL)
Liked We recently stayed at this campsite while travelling with two kids, and it was a brilliant experience. Check-in was quick and easy, with a super friendly reception team that made us feel welcome right away. The site wasn’t crowded at all, which gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There’s a chill-out area on site that’s perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
The location is great – within walking distance to both Kynance Cove and Ellis Kitchen. We were lucky to catch some live music while stopping for drinks and food there, which made for such a fun evening. All in all, a relaxed, scenic stay that we’d happily recommend.
Disliked Only downside? The showers were cold – but honestly, who cares when it’s the middle of summer. Would definitely come back!

Liked The loveliest owners; really reassuring when we realised we’d booked the wrong pitch, and made us a coffee in the morning when we realised we’d forgotten ours (disorganisation all round from us). Really short walk to Kynance cove and a hot shower after Man vs Coast was amazing
