What customers say

Mill Valley is a peaceful, eco-friendly campsite offering a rustic, back-to-basics experience in a woodland setting. Guests love the quirky, off-grid feel with unique wood-fired showers and composting toilets, praising the beautiful location and friendly, helpful owners. While some found the lack of electronics charging inconvenient and initial guidance upon arrival could be improved, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many eager to return.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We had a fantastic stay at Mill Valley. Was very easy to access and felt secure. We were there two nights, when we arrived Lisa and Neil came over to introduce themselves and made sure we knew where everything was. The toilet was very clean and well stocked with loo roll! There was drinking water available. A 10/10 stay we would definitely come back

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The whole experience of being back to basics was what this beautiful site gave me.

The time to disconnect with the outside world helped me find a part of myself I was missing. Went there by myself and was welcomed by the owners and felt safe.

They helped me find my way when I rang them, as I took a wrong turn 😅.

Also being able to travel to the north of Cornwall and south with ease. Prime location to all parts of Cornwall.

The location and the views you could paint and draw. The wildlife you can hear was amazing.

Definitely would return on my next solo travels.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked It was quite peaceful and in a nice location.

Disliked Sheep poo on the field, nowhere to charge electronics. Didn’t really understand the showers, and no one who worked there was present to help out.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Luke, a real shame you didn’t enjoy your stay. Obviously the monsoon rain conditions was a big part of it, particularly when you’re travelling by push bike.
This is a back to basics campsite, and as advertised totally off grid with no mention of anywhere to charge devices or having WiFi.
Our sheep hadn’t been in the field for several weeks prior to opening the campsite so any small amount of dried sheep poo is just part of a farm campsite. It’s a shame when we spoke to you the next morning you didn’t raise any issues or ask how the showers worked.
You booked last minute on a Sunday evening and as soon as you booked you were sent a message with the details you needed to know and a contact number so if you had any questions you could have got in touch.
Obviously for £12 a night you don’t get WiFi, electric hook ups or a 24 hour warden.
