What customers say

Kellow Farm: Peaceful, well-kept working farm with stunning views. Praised for spotless, spacious facilities. Great base for Polperro, but be ready for a steep walk back. Farm shop a hit. Narrow roads are a minor issue; most loved the tranquility and friendly owners, planning return visits.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Fantastic location with coast walks and sea view. 10 minute walk to Polperro and we even attempted a hike to Looe. Facilities are basic and clean with showers, charging points and drinking water. There’s a little farm shop on site with essentials, logs and fire pits.

Powered grass campsite

Liked Very nice site friendly owners and a short walk into Polperro. Wet rooms were kept tidy. Showers adjustable for heat so water was plentiful and hot.
We stayed in the second field with an electric hook up and a nice view out to see. We sat and watched the fishing boat lights into the night.
A mix of people all mutually respectful and enjoying the peace. Definitely visit again.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked This was a l lovely campsite. Enough space for the children to run around.
The showers were brilliant, as I was travelling with two younger children and the space was easy enough to take them in with me . It was very clean and well equipped. Nice little shop and the owners were lovely and gave some good tips about the local beaches.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Quiet and peaceful great burgers and sausages for a bbq. Would definitely stay again and an easy (harder back up) walk into the village of Polperro.

Disliked But a dislike but it would be handy to have done more separate toilets as when showers were being used you had to wait just to pop to the toilet. The drive to the campsite is scary!! Very small lanes with few passing places. Go slow!!

Powered grass campsite

Liked View to die for and very spacious pitches. The owners were very friendly and the little shop has everything essential you need. Shower block was always clean and never struggled for hot water or waiting around for a shower.

Disliked Walk back up from Polperro is abit steep but you can always get a taxi for about £6.

The owners were lovely and if there was any problem they would sort it out asap. Lovely little shop on site with amazing ice cream. Shower blocks were lovely and big and clean . Route directions

If bringing a motorhome or caravan, don’t follow Google Maps/satnav but use the instructions below. Leave Looe, heading for Pelynt. In Pelynt, take the left turn by the church and follow sign for Lansallos. At the crossroads turn left and travel for about 3/4 mile, then turn left again at the staggered crossroads, looking out for the Great Kellow sign. After half a mile you’ll see another sign at a right-hand bend. Follow the road around two more bends and the Great Kellow Farm entrance is on your left. Please be aware that from the village of Pelynt you will be on country roads but there are multiple passing places.

Local attractions

So, the seaside has caught your eye. It’s no surprise, because there’s a lot of that around this area, and a real load of activities. Your nearest beach days include Looe (10 minutes’ drive), where there’s crabbing and sandcastle crafting to get stuck into, Talland Bay (10 minutes), a quieter place for swimming, and Lansallos beach (10 minutes) with some splendid coastal walks around it. Lantic Bay (10 minutes) is a nice way to round off your seaside adventures, as is joining in with the fishing in Fowey (40 minutes), before moving onto the big activity centre at Adrenalin Quarry (25 minutes). The big question there is ziplining, go-karting or the inflatable assault course? Feeling like some nature or wildlife too? Porfell Wildlife Park & Sanctuary (15 minutes) is one of the closest spots to the site, while the Eden Project (40 minutes) has rainforest biomes further out. You might want to see Lanhydrock House and Garden (half an hour), a Victorian country house with some spectacular gardens, or the three-acre Hidden Valley Gardens (35 minutes) too.
