What customers say

This small, quiet site offers stunning countryside views and is a great base for exploring Cornwall, just a short drive from Looe. Visitors praised the clean and spacious facilities, including well-maintained pitches with water and EHU. The tranquil atmosphere, friendly staff, and thoughtful touches like welcome scones were highly appreciated. Some found access roads narrow and WiFi connectivity variable.

Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Very quiet and small site with countryside views near Looe. Spacious shower rooms with WC and basin with an electric wall heater so nice and cosy on cold mornings. We had a hardstanding pitch with electric and tap.

Disliked The toilet/ shower rooms could have been cleaner, particularly the floor.

1 bedroom camping pod (no pets, deluxe)

Liked The Oaks is a very tranquil place, with stunning views of the Countryside.
The pod was excellent, comfortable, cosy and very well set out and equipped.
It is only a short drive to Looe, and there is do much in the area to see and do.

Local attractions

Start your stay with a wander around Looe, taking in the harbour and unusual banjo pier before settling on the sands for the day. The South West Coast Path runs through the town for folk in search of a ramble with a sea view, and the harbour’s full of boats to book for fishing trips to hook mackerel for the barbie, or to see what critters are swimming below. If you’d like to see more underwater beasts, there are many in residence at Fowey Aquarium (40 minutes). For landlubbing creatures, it’s a leisurely 15-minute stroll to meet the monkeys at Wild Futures Sanctuary or a 25-minute drive to view an assortment of animals at Porfell Wildlife Park & Sanctuary. The famed domes of the Eden Project (half an hour) are famed for a reason – a visit here makes a fab day out wandering among all manner of weird and wonderful plants from across the planet. Green-fingered folk might also like to check out the 200-acre Lost Gardens of Heligan (not actually lost, but off the B3273 50 minutes away).
