What customers say

This small, well-kept site gets rave reviews for its spotless, modern restrooms. Guests love the generous, level pitches and the welcoming owners. Its prime location means easy access to local pubs, transit for exploring, and plenty of trails. Some guests mentioned road noise, but most found it minor. A few noted limited bathrooms at peak times and no WiFi. Highly recommended for a peaceful, convenient stay; many want to return.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Neat. Tidy. Cosy campsite. New shower blocks. Pub nearby (5 min walk) has great food. Close proximity to some lovely beaches.

Disliked Confusion around tents. Do they or don’t they allow tents? Pictures on Pitch Up show tents. This needs to be made crystal clear.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked The pitch and the facilities were all fresh clean and new.

Disliked Unfortunately there was a strong smell of cow manure. I don’t think this is the usual. Maybe a farmer was spraying a field.

Woodie shepherd's hut (four person)

Liked N/a

Disliked I unfortunately injured myself very badly 4 days before I was due to use the site. I called the site from my hospital bed to let them know.
I know the terms say no refund unless 4 weeks notice.
I had hoped that a bit of kindness would have been given and maybe an offer to stay another time with a partial refund. This wasn’t offered.

Enjoy the money.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Location. Very handy for an easy trip to Selsey, West Wittering and Chichester.
Very clean shower and toilet facilities and a nice welcome.

Disliked Pitch we were on was near a busy road, but to be fair we were late booking so the pitches further back were good.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked quiet little site, easy access to surrounding visitor attractions, beautifully maintained shower and toilet facilities, loads of room to pitch the caravan and its canopy there are plenty of water access points, a nice but prickly walk down watery lane and rotten row avoids using the inadequate path alongside the main road outside the site to visit the pub, come and try it for a few nights you like us will then be planning a return visit,

Route directions

If you are using a satnav you may find that it takes you past the site. It's about 100 yards past the Anchor pub on the right, so look out for the pub on your left and the thatched cottage. If you reach the garage on the right-hand side you have gone too far.

Local attractions

And so to the beach – perhaps with a bucket and spade for the sandy stretch at West Wittering or some watersports kit for surfing or kitesurfing at Bracklesham Bay (both 10 minutes’ drive). Elsewhere along the coast, take walks around the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (five minutes) or out to Selsey Bill (10 minutes), or go wildlife-spotting at Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve (15 minutes). To get a sense of the area’s history, a trip to Weald & Downland Living Museum (15 minutes) is a must – the various exhibits, demonstrations and buildings are great for getting kids intrigued in times gone by. There’s more history to soak up at Fishbourne Roman Palace (10 minutes) and around Chichester (10 minutes), where top recommendations include the cathedral, Pallant House Gallery and Festival Theatre. For alternative activities, perhaps you’d fancy playing a round at Chichester Golf Club (five minutes) – or maybe sampling the top-notch sparkling wines on a tour and tasting at Tinwood Estate vineyard (15 minutes).
