Liked: Friendly staff that took the time to show us around and feed the on site alpacas and chickens. Simple clean toilets, running water. Great to be around working fields as it gave the kids things to see on walks. It was still quiet in the evenings though considering it was harvest too! Watched buzzards and kites over the site and heard deer, foxes and owls in the evening. Very spaced out pitches, only one night where we were closer than 150yards from another tent! Basic camping fun!!
Disliked: Not a dislike but suggestion, there was only one wheel barrow to assist in getting to the pitch. Could do with an honesty box where the firewood is. Signage would also be an improvement as we drove past it the first time.

Definitely worth a visit if you like wild camping.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: You're basically just paying for clean water, a mown pitch and a roof over your head while you do your business. It's not rocket science but is worth it particularly with the sparsity of wild camp opportunities in the area. Staff very amenable and whole process simple. Pitch was level enough in a one man to have options. Toilets basic but clean.

Liked: Beautiful location, quite, family friendly and camp fires allowed. Honesty of their listing, what they say is all you get through.
Disliked: Stoney ground under the pitches made pegging the tent difficult and uncomfortable to stand on. As the stones are mostly sharp flint our ground sheet was punctured. The toilet and wash facilities are basic as advertised and I respect the eco vision the owners have but the toilets are not nice to use and way too cramped.
