Liked: The view was wonderful
Disliked: Longish walk to the 2 toilets and 1 shower. I had to wait for the shower as someone else was using it, (and there were only 4 pitches in use), and when I got in, the hot water ran out after 3-4 minutes (maybe because the person before used it and it didn’t have enough time to reheat?), so had to finish rinsing my hair (and body) under cold water - not the preparation for the funeral I was attending that I wanted, but thank goodness it was mild weather! Expensive compared to other sites I use that have better facilities (but it was the best location for where I was going). Also, there are no washing up facilities at all (I asked).

From the manager: Sorry you were disappointed with your stay
We sell ourselves as an almost wild campsite
With basic but clean and well maintained toilets and a shower ,these are placed at the entrance to the field for plumbing reasons and we felt no one would want to sleep next to a toilet block ! Everyone seems to manage the short walk we have had disabled people stay and after explaining where they were they were perfectly happy with them .
We don’t push the fact we have a shower as there is only one,and we put it in mainly for cyclists
As most people only stay a couple of nights or have their own facilities
This is also why we don’t have a washing up block .Most campers bring a washing up bowl which is ideal as We are trying to save water in East anglia
We have no other facilities and don’t pretend to People come to us to get away and relax and enjoy the views and peace and quiet
Excellent site, would recommend!

Liked: The warm welcome we received and the beautiful location. The views are brilliant, the campsite is very peaceful and quiet! It’s a wonderful place.
Disliked: Perhaps the fact that there was only 1 shower. I felt rushed because there was a queue in spite of the fact that there were only 3 vans and a small tent on the site. Also I could not find a bin for our garbage so we had to take it with us.

From the manager: Sorry about the bin
We had moved one of them
As the dustbin truck was coming that morning to empty them , you would have driven past them on your way out. There was other bins available for recycling
We only have one shower as it is a small site and it’s mainly there for people in tents who cycle or walk .We have found most vans have their own showers .
Our site is a small low key one , and as you experienced there to have a peaceful relaxing experience. And enjoy the views .

Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked: Loved surroundings, quietness and was clean and tidy.
Disliked: Noisy gathering on the end pitch was a little concerned about. They did quite down and then was lovely. They did have dogs loose on lead and caused a little tension as ours were tied up and approached. We had to say something to resolve this.
