What customers say
Highly recommended, peaceful rural site in beautiful countryside. Abundant wildlife, great walks & nearby pubs. Level pitches w/ sun/shade options. Clean facilities (compost toilets, hot showers). Hosts are friendly & helpful. Minor notes: compost toilets can be busy; Wi-Fi is spotty; lighting could be better.

Beautiful peaceful near back to basic site.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Beautiful campsite.
Solo camping with my boys can sometimes be tricky, but this site was peaceful & safe for them to enjoy. My middle son is autistic so being able to choose where we can pitch meant we weren’t right on top of everyone & he could stim to his hearts content. Tho during our stay I was surprised it wasn’t more busier, we had no more than 5 other pitches there.
It was my 7 month old baby’s first camp trip & he enjoyed being outside & feeling the grass. Even my teenager enjoyed himself enough & asked if we could go back.
The pitches are flat, we loved being partly under the trees. The facilities are clean, the showers were lovely & hot. We really enjoyed being able to have a camp fire & toast marshmallows.
The lack of phone signal was refreshing for me, the boys struggled slightly, but it was stronger around the facilities area so they popped up there when they needed a fix.
Disliked It’s not a dislike, more a suggestion of a little bin for the paper towels, other campers were just leaving them on the side rather than placing them in the bin in the toilets.
I personally would have found a rail/grab bar hand for the steps up to the toilet too.
