What customers say
Shepherd's huts are "cute" & "cozy." Cleanliness & thoughtful amenities praised. Kids loved the private field & toys. Peaceful setting, near shops, with helpful hosts. Beds may be small for some, but overall, it's an amazing, perfect, highly recommended stay.

Lovely little campsite, friendly staff, level pitches, clean.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The owner, Steve, was very polite. Sent us a text pre arrival to explain where to find them and inform us of what’s around in the area. The pitches were big, there was plenty of room and I liked the fact you could see the cows in the little field next to us. Water easy accessible from a tap and a little area to wash face/brush teeth/wash hands etc. Billy bobs American diner and play area is directly across the road, guys thatched hamlet is just 5 minute walk away and plenty of pubs around for dining or to stop off for a drink.
Disliked There was only one portaloo, at one point there was 20+ campers on site all sharing and waiting for one toilet. My constructive criticism would be just to put another toilet on site maybe at the other end of the field so one at each end. Other than that - no complaints.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Really nice site owner who also keeps owls. He was nice enough to come around the site with one and let the kids have a hold. Site is basic with a water supply and a porterloo. It was all we needed as only stayed a short time. Over a enjoyed our stay.
Disliked Location to the road might be troublesome to the light sleepers. I had ear buds as I'm a light sleeper and I was fine. But my partner struggles with the early morning traffic

Liked Clean, well maintained site. Steve is an excellent host, we were kept up to date by text and everything went smoothly. Excellent, level pitch.
Close enough to walk to amenities, but secluded enough to feel safe. We will definitely return!

Shepherd's hut
Liked We loved everything about our stay. The shepherds hut was cute and cosy. The grandchildren loved playing in the field on the toys provided. Close to shop and places to eat. Everything thought of that you could possibly need for your stay. The grandchildren never asked for iPads or phones once which is unheard off haha. Would highly recommend.

Shepherd's hut
Liked Host was absolutely brilliant, the shepherds hut was so quaint and warm it was out of a fairy tale, really clean and the personal touches really brought it together. We absolutely loved having the full field to ourselves and my daughter loved watching the ponies graze in the next field. Amazing stay!

Shepherd's hut
Liked Everything. Small section of field out of sight and all to ourselves. Shepherds hut was clean and cosy and had all cooked utensils/lights and even a gas log fire. Outside was a very clean eco toilet which was close but nor too close, a large fire pit, cooking area which was sheltered along with another sheltered seating area. There was ball games for the kids. We was welcomed by Steve, who very helpful and gave great advice on the local area. We was close to pubs and restaurants. We loved it.
