What customers say
This is a basic, no-frills campsite with a relaxed vibe and stunning views. Guests praised the clean, functional restrooms and spacious, flat sites. Many enjoyed the option to rent fire pits. The location is convenient for exploring the Lake District, with plenty of nearby hikes. While many found it peaceful, some reviews mention noise from other campers, especially during busy times. Facilities are generally adequate, though the single cold shower was a common point of note.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The views were amazing, and overall it was fine for a basic camp site. Lots of walks nearby and perfect if you camp with a dog.
Disliked Unfortunately opposite me there was a group of teenagers being extremely loud, listening to loud music until late at night, screaming, burping very loud and just before I decided to pack everything up and leave at 2:30 o'clock in the morning they started to kick a ball and even hit a couple of tents.....

Barebones, good for some - not for others 5/10
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked This is probably a great campsite for people who are in larger groups or are looking for somewhere to drink and camp responsibly with friends.
Price is good for location.
Overall, I think if I were using this as a "stopover" location whilst touring, I would have had a better experience on this campsite.
Disliked Hard to find, lots of flies (although this is seasonal, I feel like if the grass had been cut/managed this would have been reduced), other guests were rather loud, dogs were all over the place.
I don't want to detract from the Campsite as if it was what we were looking for it would have been totally fine, I just felt that it was too barebones for what we were looking for.
