What customers say
This simple, remote spot provides a peaceful getaway in beautiful nature, with sheep freely roaming. Guests rave about the quiet, calm, and wide-open views of nearby hills and a lake. Facilities are basic (water/waste disposal), giving it a "wild camping" vibe. Great for stopovers or exploring, like Appleby. Perfect for a back-to-nature trip.

Liked Location is fantastic. Quiet, glorious views.
Disliked No shade. On a hot day it would be difficult to cope with no shaded area.

What a place!
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Such a peaceful stay. Choose your spot, set up camp and watch the sheep, birds and admire the views. Does not feel like a site, just a beautiful wild camp with the added bonus of a water tap, bin and elsan point.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked View is stunning, loved watching the sheep/lambs free roaming.
Drinking water tap, non drinking water tap, chemical waste disposal & wheelie bin for rubbish.
Short walk to golf club, if walking to Appleby parts of the way is walking along the grass verge, pathway is only as you get nearer but a lovely friendly place when you get there.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
