  • Pop-up family campsite on a working farm in quiet Cheshire countryside
  • Near the Cheshire and Shropshire border; Malpas five minutes' drive
  • Playground by the off-grid pitches; animals encounters available
Cheshire sites don’t come much more family-friendly than Magical Malpas PYO Farm, a back-to-basics spot on a friendly, family-run working dairy and pick-your-own farm. This simple pop-up site has a small number of pitches on neatly mown fields, and is five minutes’ drive from pubs and convenience stores in the historic market town of Malpas. Simple on-site facilities include a children’s playground, picnic tables and toilets with wash basins and cold running water, so if you’re looking for shower blocks or electric hook-ups, this is not the site for you. However, there are indoor role play sessions in one of the barns throughout the summer, which you and the family are welcome to join on specific evenings for an additional fee, and you’ll all no doubt love the opportunity to get up close to the friendly donkeys, miniature goats and cute-as-pie Valais Blacknose sheep who reside on the farm. If you can get your kids away from the animals, they will be chomping at the bit to get to BeWILDerwood Cheshire (10 minutes’ drive) and Chester Zoo (40 minutes).

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Very friendly owners who made sure we were ok and happy on arrival. It was the first time I had taken my son camping and this campsite was perfect for it. The friendly sheep and goats were a bonus treat for him along side the small play area. It was relatively quiet while we were there which suited us as we were looking for a relaxing couple of nights.
The pitches are mowed to clearly designate areas, pitches were nice and flat.
The toilets were well looked after and the washing up area had everything we would need.
Malpas is only a 5 min drive away which was great for picking up little bits and pieces from the Co-op. After our successful first father-son camp we can't wait to book here again. Thank you Stella and family!

Liked Stella and family could not have been more friendly and helpful. Their farm was beautiful, well kept and we all enjoyed petting the roaming goats and sheep. My granddaughter loved feeding the rabbits and guinea pigs. Definitely would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back again.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked What was there not to like? As a fairly basic site the toilets were clean and open all night, the washing up area was warm and clean and fully stocked with washing up Liquid etc. There were free roaming goats and sheep and the hosts were absolutely epic. I would highly recommend this site if you don't need a fully serviced pitch.
