Lovely campsite
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Chilled, relaxed vibe. Campfires allowed. Clean toilets with hand soap and toilet roll. Sheep / Cows nearby
Disliked Our kids would have enjoyed a play area but we knew there wasn't one when we booked so not a problem. Lots of room in the middle of the field for outdoor games.
The noise from the M6 is loud (but again, we knew this when booking)
Very relaxed, great for kids, but not enough toilets
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked - finishing touches such as air freshener in the toilets
- big grass area for frisbee etc
- relaxed atmosphere and friendly hosts
- individually marked pitches and private fire pits
Disliked None of these were deal-breakers for us, but would be for some
- gaps in toilet doors, easy to peer in
- noise from motorway
- no reception or main gate, children can wander out onto the road
- no curfew, some people were noisy til late
- only 2 toilets, 2 showers and 1 washing up sink for ~20 pitches

Liked A Perfect Camping Experience! Highly Recommended!
We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The facilities are excellent, everything is very well made, thoughtfully designed, and well maintained. Cleanliness was clearly a top priority; the showers, toilets were spotless throughout our visit.
Even though the campsite was nearly full, it never felt crowded. There’s plenty of space for everyone and the atmosphere was peaceful and friendly, with lovely guests that added to the charm of the place.
It has the warm and personal touch of a family run site. The owners were absolutely delightful, always around with a smile, making you feel welcome and acknowledged.
Overall, a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We’ll definitely be back!
Lovely glamping hut!
The Herdwick shepherd's hut
Liked Lovely accommodation. The Herdwick Hut was thoughtfully and comfortably furnished. The double bunk bed was really comfortable and the bathroom lovely. We were impressed with all the little touches that made it so homely. The owners were really friendly too and we really appreciated them helping us celebrate a family birthday by putting up balloons and bunting for our arrival. It was an easy walk to Lower Peover to the local pub and shop and a quick drive into Knutsford for a wander around.
Disliked Less a dislike and more an awareness thing really…the closeness of the M6 is quite apparent noise wise and not something I considered before booking. The accommodation, facilities and friendly owners make up for this though.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Spacious site.
Friendly owners. The free marshmallows is a really nice and welcoming gesture.
Fire pits are great and the logs reasonably priced.
Disliked Would be beneficial if there was a toileting facility on the other side of the field also especially for during the night if camping in a tent.
Very friendly hosts & great facilities.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Flat level pitch, good facilities, fab shower, spacious clean washing up area, marshmallow gift, campfire at each pitch, friendly hosts, no check in/check out times, Albie the Tup nearby who was a hit with our small person!
Disliked Lots of pitches fairly close together & other guests were loud on the first evening. Quietened down just after 11 so not too bad.
A lovely site, great clean facilities. Nice open area in the middle
FHU grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Layout, fully serviced pitch, campfire setup, wash up facilities, clean shower/toilets.
Great communication from the owners prior to arrival but didn’t get chance to meet them onsite as we arrived after 6pm.
Disliked We arrived a little too late (just after 6pm) to purchase the wood for the campfire. We did enjoy watching others enjoy theirs though!
The very noisy group next door. Music playing until midnight and repositioned their car to shine lights at their tent leaving the engine running for two hours. Didn’t want to say anything incase it made it worse so popped in the ear plugs and got some sleep.
Our water tap was used by others to fill water pistols and bottles so was a bit of back and forth behind the van whilst we were relaxing after a busy day.
We would probably have enjoyed our stay more if the noisy group weren’t there. We’ve been to previous sites where people either respected the no noise after 10pm request, or the owners/wardens did a walk around to address any issues.
We only stayed for a night so just got on with it!
Beautiful peaceful campsite
