  • Peaceful pitches in a 10-acre ancient woodland and sculpture park
  • A five-minute drive from the edge of the Peak District National Park
  • Stone circle and firepit on site; 15 minutes’ walk from pubs and shops
What a fitting name The Woodland Gallery has. These peaceful South Yorkshire pitches are in a 10-acre ancient woodland and sculpture park with – of course – lots of lush greenery that guests can stroll through and admire, just as they would in a gallery. Just a five-minute drive from the edge of the Peak District Park, the site has a good mix of convenience and nature. For the comfort of civilisation, it’s a 15-minute stroll from shops and local pubs with friendly faces and delicious meals or a 20-minute drive from Sheffield city centre. Perhaps take note of the popular pub half an hour’s walk away in Stacey Bank near the Loxley Valley trail. On site, the woodland has a brook, a natural spring pond and a short trail with local sculptures. A firepit has been crafted from sculptures and jet engines. There’s also a stone circle at the top of the site with views over Sheffield. For avid explorers, there are plenty of scenic hikes in the Peak District within 20 minutes’ drive of The Woodland Gallery, like those around Robin Hood's Cave, Longshaw and Bamford Edge. You could also head out for a scenic drive or an amble through villages like Low Bradfield or Dungworth, both five minutes’ drive away.

Primitive mixed tent campsite (four person)

Liked: Absolutely 10/10 best space we have camped in. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. Hosts Tom and Andrew are amazing people and made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond. An absolute gem of a wild space to spend the day and camp and there was nothing to dislike. The sculptures are beautiful and there is so much to absorb. An absolute nature lovers paradise. Spotted so many amazing bugs throughout the day and frogs.

Disliked: Everything was perfect.
